i recently tried their in and out detail spray and love it. i just ordered more and a thing of detail spray to try. i am thinking of getting the essentials kit and purchasing a porter cable polisher from them to save money on shipping. i was just wondering how well the revive polish and swirl remover worked with the porter cable? i have light swirls.
also do any you happen to know of any promotional codes? to save some money.

well my $.02 is that you would be better of with an array of poorboys products. The poorboys swirl removers work much better than the adams polishes. Adams has some good products but they are a bit overpriced.

PM coming your way.

I disagree. As much as I love Poorboy’s Adams Products are in my top 5 list in my arsenal. Because Adams has the convenience to offer Pinnacle results. There are mant people who have never tried Adams because it is to pricey and not to many people talk about it. But I have tried them all. Everything from turtle wax to pinnacle. Adams himself may not have much experience when detailing but most of us have different styles.

I compared Adams car wash to Poorboys SSS and the feels like KIT wash nex to it. The suds on Adams are (TSUNAMI SUDS). :boat:

I compared Natural Look vs. V.R.T = obviously vrt took it because it os more versatile and non greasy just like NL. :yay

Spray & Gloos Vs Adams QD spray = Adams because it offers top notch gloss and the ability to use as a waterless wash. I had to buy 2 gallons of it.

MF vs Adams MF = Poorby’s takes it here. Just cant beat the Mega Plush.

Adams Metal Polish _ is the also the best I have used in years. It uses a chemical cut that is so easy to use. Metal #1 & #2 make any metal look like CHROME. :yay

Adams Glass cleaner is like Eagle One’s 20/20 on steroids. It leaves no lint and is very good.

Adams In & out QD is very unique but pricey. I love it on interior AC vents.

In everything I just mentioned Adams is better IMO but Poorboy’s has it kicks on top notch products that are in my arsena as well l. I love both poorboy’s & Adams but Adams keeps products working like magic. Love them. I cant wait for their PASTE WAX which should be like SOUVERAN.

BTW use the CODE: '' family '' or " Z06 'to save 10% off im not a employee of his or sponsor but everyone seems to know codes from diffrent sites to save money masy you can use it.

Adams products are ok. The wash soap fine and rinses clean even if it dries on the car. VRT is one of my favorite has a good scent. Revive polish is more of a chemical polish than a swr remover polish but they do have a scratch/swr product. butter wax is just butter wax nothing special. Detail spray is awesome and my favorite of Adams products. Give lots of gloss and doesnt streak no matter how hard you try to make it. Just my thoughts.

i dont like butter wax & revive polish. But other than that the rest is history. cant wait to try their leather conditioner with spf 60 :yay

I believe that Adam's products were once talked about alot right here.

Adams Glass cleaner is like Eagle One’s 20/20 on steroids. It leaves no lint and is very good.
Interesting, I've never had anyone's glass cleaner leave lint. I believe that would be a function of the cloth.

I have 3 of Adam's products.

BSG - I initially bought this for use on interior painted surfaces. I've used it a couple of times on the exterior paint and just didn't see any results good or bad. I will say that it is extremely easy to apply and remove.

Detail Spray - Yes, I like this product. It is a bit pricey, but I may be forced to replace it when I use it up since my previous favorite Meg's Final Detail has been discontinued. Waterless wash? I don't think so.

Carpet Cleaner - Got it, but haven't had the need to use it. My carpet cleaner stock is pretty complete right now.

VRT is a interesting sounding product, but the performance of PB's NL has not given me a reason to seek an alternative.

In & Out Spray, frankly aerosol products are a tough sell for me.

natural look is a great prduct, but VRT looks so dame good on exterior trim, vinyl etc. In fact i still have the Quart of NL collecting dust in my garage.

ive tried a goos amount of their products.

car wash: good wash for well maintained vehicles such as ours. sud up nicely, but not as slick as others can be. makes you feel good knowing its gentle enough that it wont strip our protection or interfere with their durabilty.

butter wax: darn good wax. durabilty is that of a carnuba with a bit more bite. i got 7 weeks out of it. description gets lost with a lot of waxes ive used, but i like it and im sure no one will give it a negative opinion.

mf towels- at first i didnt like them. felt they were to grabby and would constantly be unfolding in my hands. but now. almost a year later, they're actually some of my favorites for qding after washes. no need to have a second dry towel for buffing, the texture of it leaves no streaks.

vrt- dries to touch and leaves a low gloss dont like its consistency, but that doesnt really stop me from using it. attracts no dust on my tires. and offers uv protection. cleans off of tires with regular soapy water.

adams detail spray- pretty good for cleaning spots and bird poop. not as good for cleaning as spray and wipe. i wouldnt use it to clean a whole car like i would spray and wipe. gives a lot of shine and slickness is that of upp. smells awesome. really good detail spray for metallics.

scratch and swirl remover- adam claims its as strong as the pad u use, but i find that to be wrong. its good as a final polish and works good for "us" as we only need to polish our cars 2-3 times a year, and that only to remove light light scatchs swirls inflicted from washing, wipeing, buffing ect thru out time.

revive polish- good chemical cleaner. leaves behind a nice base shine. does not stain plastic. good for restarting a was or sealant combo.

adams BSG- this glaze is unique in the sense that u can spray in onto a applicator and use a nice thin coat. buffs off easy and leaves tons of depth. same depth as meguairs #7 but is a lot easier to work with.

adams PVA sponges- i bought one of the big packs at the time.i split them into two type. i took half and cut them in half. use the cut ones for tire dressings. i kept the non-cut pva sponges for interior aplications of dressings and conditioners. these pva sponges, that i think pooroys offer or once sold as well.

i things almsot all of the products i used from adams. in its entirety i would say that adams offers a good array of products for someone looking to maintain HIS/HER finish, but not something i would recommend using on clients or other peoples cars. their products just dont last. and like greg said, they do seem a bit pricey.

i also agree that adam from adams polishes rrally doesnt give good technique or information when using his products, but in the RIGHT hands can get a car ready for show status.

amazing how he instructed on using ds on a week old car. and even that, he seems to wipe back and forth instead of swiping one direction and picking up dirt.

these are the items that are in my top notch arsenal and that have performed better than meg's, Pb's, clearkote, etc..I will stick to Poorboy's MF,polishes, glazes, waxes, wheel cleaners etc.. & other brand names other than adams.

on his video he shows a car that is lightly dusted. There is nothing wrong with his QD scene on his video. He uses a MF, Detail spray, and lightly dusted car. it is up to the consumer to know wether or not the car needs a QD or a full wash. every week. I would like anyone from anyother site to have instructional videos on their sites that show how to properly do things & i can only concieve people criticizing methods of doing things.

I belive if I read the original topic correctly is that Jimbo is wondering how Adam's polishes work with the PC. Everyone has their own opinion on various companies and procedures but that should be taken care of in another thread. But my recommendation (and from others aswell) is that you can get another kit from Autogeek, or PAC with polishes and a PC to save even more money if you are trying to go that route. I personally haven't used their polish and I haven't heard much about them so you could get them and post an in depth review with procedures and pictures.

Well put budman,
I haven't tried Adams either, I have heard both positive and negative, as you will find with just about any product.
If you want to try Adams great, I'm sure others would like to hear your opinion.

If you want to try to save a few dollars, you can check with our sponors (sorry they don't carry Adam's products) and I am sure that you can get that will work well for you and save a few dollars along the way.

Good luck with whichever way you choose

i'm confused now guys. i was planing on getting everything from adams for three reasons.
1)free shipping
2)i found a 20% promotional code
3)i just like trying new detailing products lol.

i could get the essentials kit and the porter cable with 2 extra pads(it comes w/2 so a total of 4) for $250 to my door. does this sound like a good deal? also here's a pic of the swirls i'm trying to remove on my truck.(look in the upper right corner) my trucks in storage know for the winter so it's the best pic i have)

Its not that im trying to critic him. im not. i just know better than to use SOME of his methods. thats all. adams polishes is one of those line ups that is good and gets the job done above average, but is not the best. its very hard to find a vendor that whos entire product line is the best. out of his line up id say his detailspray, butterwax, and vrt take the cake. everything else can be alternated with soemthing equal or better. his product lineup reminds me that of griots garage. good products, but not worth the money.

AND THIS IS IN MY OWN OPINION, as i have used, and experimented adams products in many ways on a number of different vehicles.

IMO Adam's products are marketed for the average consumers that don't want to do anything more then apply a coat of wax, you can tell this by watching his instructional videos. I think that people here at Detail City, Autopia, etc. want more then to just a quick fix for their paint and also know that the best finish is the prep...and his line of polishes just don't cut it (no pun intended)

Does that mean his products are bad...no they are just marketed to a different demographics then the majority on this board. I've had samples of his products and nothing impressed me enough to buy any of his line.

Like joyriide1113 said, this is only my opinion....but, the link below show where it ranks with the detailing enthusiast:

well i hate to say it but, i'm going to be ordering the essentials kit from adam's. or maybe just the maintain kit. it includes detail spray, vrt, and butter wax, and some microfiber towels in a box for like $45 i just recieved my order of detail spray and used it on my truck. the shine is very good and it worked fine when the temp was 25 degree's.

out of all the products that come in that kit u mentioned, its a good choice. and u didnt spend tooo much either.
