Adam's Instructional Videos

And you post this to keep your word?

Yes, did I compare anything and say that its the same? I posted this to let everyone know that Paul does not like people discussing his products and comparing them to others, saying they are the same. He does this to protect, potentially his private lablers. I guess that wasn't clear enough, my bad, its late.

Well your posts seem to indicate that you and others have been made privileged to some information from Paul but aren't sharing it as well as others shouldn't. Am I understanding you correctly?

True, I as well feel that if anyone knows "secret" information about the private labeled brands, then Paul or whomever wasn't keeping THEIR word, or whatever, thus perpetuating the diterioration of this thread. IT started as a question to the techniques used by Adam on his website. Give an opinion on that and not his products.

Here is my response to the orig thread,

Yes, I feel that none of his procedures would hurt a car. I would like to see him take more care when washing; ie: two bucket method, actually start top-down, and not use the same mitt to wash the body as the inside of his fenders. His PC skills are not what I would call "great", but I am no 10yr veteran of the PC, and if it works for his target market and the everyday user which he is intending, then so be it. :argue

This thread originally started as a discussion of Adams videos. Can we put the thread back on track please. :nono I don't want to see a flame war over PB's/Adams and Chemical Guys.

You won't do much damage, but don't expect any correction with those techniques...

If one were to follow his "washing" video, one could expect to impart some serious swirls to the paint in a short period of time.

That's why I wrote 'much'. And I thought doing it his way for only once.

You are correct. About half way through that first washing, you are going to start to do damage. I'm surprised he didn't wash the wheels with the same mitt. After all, he washed the inner lip of the wheel wells, and under the hood... what the heck... why not wash the rims too. :grinno:

Then he washed about half the vehicle without rinsing the mitt... then he rinses the mitt in the suds bucket. Plus, it's a "synthetic" mitt to begin with. Jeezzzzzzzz... gives me the creeps! I can "hear" the dirt and grit scraping the paint. :D

No, all he told me is to, when I review a product (which he wanted me to do), not to compare it to any other brands, because he has private lablers (which he didn't tell me which ones), and didn't want anyone to come accross them, possibly. He didn't tell me which brands in peticular, just not to compare them to other stuff. So you see, my privileged info was that he didn't want me (and I assume others that he talks to) to compare his products to others. For all I know Mothers and/or Megs are his private lablers. lol

So we shouldn't compare his products to determine ease of use compared to XXXX or durability compared to XXXX? How much sense does that make?

In the case of some products all you have to do is open two different windows in your browser and it's readily apparent where they get their products. Oh and about the assuming part. NEVER assume!

Im not convinsed that even if another major bottling company blends a product line, if it isnt tweeked to the customers specs.

Im not sure it matters either, people who want the best, use Zaino anyways :)

After I saw it... Need I say much? :grinno: That, plus the PC-excercise... OMG

Oh, that screechy sound!!! How wonderful! :soscared: :shocked :faint:

Tamás & 3Dog, I agree too, but instead of the JW line, I'd include the Optimum polishes.

The instant gloss of the PO85 and the OCP/OCC with the FKs' amazing appearance which get better and better is an invincible combination. Glassy, warm, high definition shine and incredibe protection.
