Has anyone seen this yet? Looks like a very interesting product.

Yes, I saw it in person at their detailer's domain clinic. It is really cool as it can be used on anything and also darkens trim. Just spray, wipe, and then easily remove the haze.

I don't know, this seems to be not a lot different from a number of other spray sealants, starting with DG Aquawax or Zaino Z-8, and going on from there. Am I missing something?

Let me clear up a few things here. This is a sealant and not a wax. It can be used on any surface and it will also darken trim. This was designed to be a sealant and a drying aid. It can be used as a stand alone, topper, or coating booster.

Yeah, sounds just like Aquawax (which is a sealant--no wax) and a number of other products as mentioned.

How long does AW last as a stand alone? Serious question. I haven't used it.

I don't know, I don't really use it that way, but I'm just not seeing this as some "revolutionary" product as it seems to be touted in the video. The concept isn't any different than WAUD or Aquawax, and in practice (of how we use spray "waxes" here) I just don't see it being any different than a slew of products like Z-8, OCW, D156, etc. etc. etc. that are safe for all surfaces. If we're hung up on this being a sealant vs. a "wax" then again, AW, Z-8, Prima Hydro products, etc.

I'm not being argumentative or saying this product isn't good, but it's not like it's a new class of product, again, unless I'm missing something.

It's not evolutionary I agree, but it does give 2-3 months of protection, so for all of those in between washes, you can just use detail spray for a drying aid. I consider this to be closest to Permanon and Hydro2 as this is in the water activated class of sealants, however this one should be wiped and not rinsed off.

That's what I thought it was going to be, a product like Permanon or HydrO2, but it just looks like a spray sealant to me <shrug>

Yes, but even with those you need to dry the car when you are done, with this you just go straight to drying. It is water activated though, so it's still most similar to those.

I didn't see any water activation, they said water activation, I didn't see that, I saw water run off when they sprayed it on, but that happens with WAUD, too. My recollection is that's not how HydrO2 works, but I've only used it once.

As soon as I saw the video I was wondering what the difference was between Hydr02 and this. Doesn't look like much. But that claim of couple months coverage is pretty substantial. I can't test that because most of my hood, trunk, and roof has vinyl on it and I think the best test is on horizontal panels, but I would love to hear unbiased views on that as that is really what peaks my interest with this product.

aren't they applying with a damp mf towel?

It must be sprayed onto a wet surface and spread with a wet towel. Or you can start with a dry surface, spray the product onto a wet towel and then spread it that way.

Why are you guys comparing this to Permanon ot HydrO2? It doesn't apply like those products or behave like them from what I can tell. As I said, I must be missing something.

IMHO the beauty of Permanon or Hydro2 is they don't have to be wiped off. This leads them ideal for use on complex areas like wheels, wheel barrels, and other intricate areas. You can just spray these products on, rinse them off, and blow the area dry.

IMHO, if I have to wipe it off - it's just another spray wax.
