Adams Detail Spray

RESIDENT PROCRASTINATOR
I was one of the lucky people to get a free sample of the detail spray, so its review time. First, i washed and waxed my car Saturday and have only driven it about 50miles or so since that time, but it has sat outside. So it had lots of dust and a little dirt from some rain, dew, etc. I was really interested in seeing if this stuff would be a good waterless wash type product. First, the color is pink, and its a bit thicker than more QD's if used. The smell is little different. Its kind of hard to describe, maybe a little like flavored childrens medicine. Its certainly not a bad smell, just different. Ok, so how did it perform? Well, i think Adam has a winner here. I lightly sprayed a panel, waited a few seconds and wiped off. then i flipped my mf and buffed. Initially i didn't see much of a difference. but when i finished with the whole car and stood back it looked pretty good. And i could see a good amout of dirt on my MF, and NO marring of my finish. Dare i say, i am pretty sure it looked a little better than when i use QuickShine, which is my favorite QD. I need to try this stuff a few more times to really make up my mind about it. I am gonna let my car get a littel dirtier and give it a better test as a waterless wash, but as a QD I can honestly say it works great, adds some gloss, cleans up the finish pretty good, and is slick as pig snot. I give it a thumbs up.

I also recieved the free sample,It came in a 4oz bottle that was a nice size to put in my pocket as I made my way around the truck. No need to place the bottle on the ground or the fence post between panels and keep retreiving it.
The smell reminded me of the medicine my mom gave me as a kid.Others in my family thought it was a bubble gum smell.I was a little leary of the pump sprayer supplied,as i usually prefer a trigger spray.I was suprised that I really liked the sprayer. It misted the product making it cling to the panels, using less product rather then spraying and running down as I usually end up doing.I used approx 1 oz for the entire truck.(full sized silverado pickup)The MF dragged a little on the first pass, lifting the dust and i assume leaving something behind. As opposed to my S&W which usually just glides over the surface. There was no streaking as I had experienced with some other QD's.The surface was clean and slick with an added gloss(the truck got a coat of wolfgang sealant a week ago)I really like the quality of this product and think I will be ordering more and perhaps trying some other Adams products.(don't tell my wife :lol)This will not repace my S&W but be another great product in my arsenal. I really appreciate the chance for us to try some of these products ,Thanks again.

Great to hear fellas!! Robert, our full size 16oz bottle comes with a trigger sprayer (spray, off, stream, off). It'll definitely make it a bit easier for you. :bigups

Glad y'all liked it, and don't forget if you plan to reorder to use your 10% at the website. Just type in DC when checking out.

Along with these two guys I also recieved the Detail Spray from Adam's. I tried it on a few different surfaces SO far ( i will get back to you on other surfaces and such).

Clean Surface:
I sprayed the hood of my truck first to see what my initial response was. This was that the product was spead over the surface evenly and smooooth. I wiped one time trying to leave some streaking, but there wasn't any. I did a final wipe and wow what a shine! It left the paint very slick also. I must say it looks just as good, if not better than when I just applied NXT.

Dirty Surface:
The dirty part of the truck was the drivers door. After a few days of rain and living on a dirty road, it got a little dirty I must say. So here was a perfect chance to try out the cleaning ability of the Detail Spray. I spritzed the panel 3 times and began to wipe gently. The MF went over the paint very smoothly and at no point did I feel any grit rub across the paint. This amount of product seemed about right for the job. After a few wipes voila, a high gloss, clean door!

Just a little more....

Aluminum:
On our motorhome we have aluminum wheels that require a lot of polishing. Over the past few months I have gotten lazy, and didn't polish them. Naturally they got dirty. So out comes the Adam's Detail Spray. A few squirts and I wiped the wheel clean, revealing clean aluminum. It isnt like a fresh polished wheel, but 100x better than it was! This may be very useful when I get lazy!

Glass:
Of course I had to try the spray on glass. It did indeed clean the glass, but it didn't do anything that I haven't seen before. I'll have to try it again to really see if it is a good cleaner compared to other products. I have to say it is impressive how many surfaces this Detail Spray can work on.

I'm not sure what you would classify the mirrors on the Silverado but I'll say its chrome. It was dirty so I tried Adams on that also. Its cleaned it up like new! After all of this I barely used any product! I'm impressed!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention the smell!! My take on the smell is that I think it smells like the red (cherry) starbust's. It may be a little strong, but not a chemical scent at all. I approve. As for the free sample, 10 or so people were sent them for responding first to a post a few weeks ago.

Mine showed up yesterday. Can't wait to use it. It's rained for the last 10 days here and it looks like the same forcast for the next few days. THANKS Nick!
