Acura RSX - Kawasaki Ninja Photo Shoot (56k Beware)

it was my first time...
Lately I've been greatly inspired by Motor Trend/Car & Driver's automotive photography, as well a couple members on another forum I visit, and decided to get some nice shots of my car. I think the only time I posted pictures of my car was when I purchased it, which was over a year ago, so I figured I'd "hone" my photoskills(lol) and give a stab at automotive photography. Since it's all about the light and your background; I had a hard time finding the perfect location. I had taken two previous sets (earlier that morning and the previous night), and I wasn't happy with either set. These five are my favorites from the group. I had to take different exposures of the same shot since I don't have any graduated neutral density filters and didn't want to under/over expose part of the photo. This was probably the most PP I've done so far, which isn't saying a lot, but I'm already learning something new everytime I use it. I know there are a couple things I could have done better, both before and after taking the shots, but I'm pretty happy with my results.



Both the car and the bike got a wipedown with Poorboy's Spray & Wipe 20 minutes prior to the shoot. My car was waxed with Poorboy's Polish w/ Carnuaba (Blue) about a week ago, and the bike has #21 on it from about a month ago. I know the lighting is terrible from a detailing point of view, but I wasn't going for that, not to mention my car is pretty swirled up :o

what kind of camera are you using? nice shots btw, I"ll post a thread of some of the ones I did the other night for the banners on N2S
 
NICE! I did a Ninja a while back. I reeaaallly like the one with both the bike and acura in it! What year is your Ninja, the one I detailed below was a 98!

I'll try to answer all the questions in order. All the pictures we're taken with my Canon Digital Rebel XT and Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8. The bike belongs to my best friend, and is an 2003 Kawasaki 636 Ninja. I really wish he'd stop riding as it's way to dangerous, but you can't change some people. :o
