Thanks PurpleWidow - others had suggested acronym's for business names/distributors and their web-sites - but in the theme of keeping this a list of "products", and not promote companies "directly" (viral marketing) I've decided not to post them. AutoGeek, DetailersDomain, Autopia/Sonus, etc, etc, can all do their own marketing and this helpful list won't get slammed/banned for being a shill.
The merits of PLD as opposed to separate logic chips will depend on whether you are in a development or a production environment. The pros and cons for a development environment are summarised below.
Advantages of PLD: once programmed, you have a compact, low-power solution that is close to what you will eventually use in production.
All right, I've looked through this whole thread--all pages--and looked through the first few dozen definitions on AcronymFinder.com, but still can't find what "ETR" means.
As in: "...many vehicle manufacturers either require or recommend the ETR for warranty repairs...." (from 'Black Plastic Trim Question' - 07/09/11)
The "ETR" stands for Exterior Trim Restorer, as in ValuGard's Exterior Trim Restoration Kit (currently on version 3, so it's "ETRIII"). Link: Valugard - E.T.R Kit III
The last entry in this post is from June 04, 2015. Does anybody want to revise or add to this list???
There have been a plethora of new car-care chemical companies and chemical lines to existing companies since the inception of this list on 2010
PA~ Polish Angel PBL~ Pinnacle Black Label (not Pabst Blue Ribbon beer!) MMBR~ Meguiar's Mirror Bright Retro TRC~ The Rag Company (for microfiber cloths & towels) SS~ Supply Shine AmGl- Americana Global (Barry Theal's company)
There's probably (a lot) that others can think of if you want to add to this list. Granted, "updating" this list is more work than I care to take on and I think (know) the administrators have better things to do within this forum as well.
