Acronym Decoder - UPDATED 12/02/10

I couldn't find "CCS", as in the buffing/polishing pads. Continuously controls spatter?

Edit: That's not it, and I learned that it's a foam pad technology, but I still can't find what it stands for.

Love it when someone’s first post is to say Thanks!

Makes it all worth it!

When I found this site I couldn't understand a friggin' thing people were acronyming ... hence this compilation.

I read for at least a year before I joined because the acronyms were so humbling/confusing. I wonder how many others did the same.

Oh thank god for this!!! :getdown This was the only downfall to the sight for newcomers.

I will bump in honor of Saintlysins.. :bow

Thanks for the accolades everyone. It's very appreciated.

If anyone wants a copy send directly ... just ask for it with your e-mail address.

Noticed a few new products and product lines sneaking their way into 2008. Anyone going to be the first to provide Acronyms for the Decoder?

Yeah - I guess I could throw that one on there ... and yes, it does mean Dual Action, and maybe even the line they censored on you ... but for now we'll go with Dual Action and add that to the list.

This decoder has been a wonderful asset and is most appreciated! :thx

I always make sure I have this open in a tab next to the topics I am browsing so I can figure out what is being discussed!

And, if there are any other newbies as green as I am, here is a link to a dictionary of general computer acronyms (i.e., BTDT = Been There, Done That):

Computer Hopes Computer Dictionary

Or, for a more chat specific dictionary:

Chat definitions

Hope that helps!

I 'had' to step away for a while, and I'll get to updating the list shortly. Thanks for your patience, and I will forward the list to those that asked ... and for those that asked a while ago, please forgive me, but I'll get it off to you soon!

Thank you.

Made the updates ... anymore???

NOTE: There were some who PM'd me for copies, and now that my new computer is up and running, you'll be getting your copies. Thanks for being patient.
