I have some seriously stubburn water spots on my windows guys. I have tried and tried and tried and tired again but they will not come off!

I have been using stoners, anyone have any ideas how to get rid of them? :(

Yes I will be searching for the answer as well but some ideas would be helpful.

Try Steel Wool on the glass. The guy at AutoZone told me to do that when I had water spots on mine and I looked at him like he was crazy. He then took some and went over to the window of the store which was coated with a film, kinda like tinting. He used it on that and it didn't scratch anything, so I gave it a try. It worked like magic. I would spray the window with Stoners Invisible Glass and use the steel wool over the top of that and then wipe off. It should work. It worked on mine.

The other thing to try is misting a towel with some wheel acid and wiping it on the windows. Make sure you try a good dilution tho. Keep in mind some times glass gets etched and you can't remove those withouth polishing or replacing the glass.

I second the wheel acid ... I actually use a comercial toilet bowl cleaner (acid) on water spots on the car and house windows. just make sure to keep it off any metal trim.
wipe it on sparingly, let sit a few minutes and wipe off with a damp cloth.

I purchased AutoGlym Glass Polish for this very reason though I have not used it yet. Supposedly it removes from windows what strong paint cleaners cannot, and the smell causes me to believe it is true. May be worth a try.

Autoglym Polish is OK for weaker water spots; for strong water spots, I'd go directly to the SSR lineup. SSR1 should be enough though I had some bad ones on an older car and SSR 2 took them right off.

You might also try using a 50/50 mix of vinegar & water with steel wool to clean your water spotted glass.

If the spots are still tough to remove, try using straight vinegar but keep it off the paint & trim.

i've tried EVERYTHING and nothing will take my water spots off of my drivers side window. I'm beginnning to think its on the inside...under my tint...:(

Try Bon-Ami, kitchen and bath cleaner, gold can, find it in most supermarkets.First mix powder in small bowl/tub with water, mixture should be like toothpaste, then apply to windshield with sponge and work in,when done, rinse off and follow with stoners invisable glass and check for spots if gone then seal with glass sealer.

I had some water spots on my sunroof that did not come off with IG, 0000 steel wool, vinegar, Autoglym,Bon Ami or the Diamondite system. Very frustrating.....Fianlly, after reading a post here somewhere, I tried plain old detailing clay....they came right off!

The SSR's didn't work? With a PC?

How could the spots have seeped INSIDE the tint? I can't see it -- unless you let them lay there for months or years.

I've tried Rubbing Compound and a microfiber, and no luck, i dont have a PC, nor do I have any SSR. I have tried compound, and steel wool and no luck.

be careful using bar keepers friend or any scrub for household use. depending on the sensitivity of the glass, you could leaave some serious scratches.

be careful with bar keepers friend and bon ami, or any household scrubbing cleanser for that matter. Depending on your glass, you could leave some serious marring.

Ahh, yes...that could be. I paid to have the windows tinted on my old car and the installer didn't clean the windows well at all. I could see swirls and marks in the window all the time and could not get rid of them...found out it was just marks on the inside of the glass that didn't get cleaned well before the tint installation.

Good luck!
