ACDetailing and Auto Concierge: 1991 Ferrari F40

This was another collaboration between Bob from Auto Concierge, and myself. This is probably going to be one of the highlights of my young detailing career! It's a 1991 Ferrari F40. The owner just bought the car about a month ago, and he bought it with only 2600 miles on it!!! But this car was meant to DRIVE. So the owner didn't want a full on concourse detail with it, and why, you may ask? Why not go all out on a $500k car? Well because this bad boy's going to the track next week. That's right, the owner's going to do what it was MEANT to do... RACE!

20 Man hours later...

Priming the pad with Concorso. I can not tell you what clearity, depth, and slickness the concorso gave the Ferrari. It just brought it to the next level for sure:

SWEET Interior. The interior is simply timeless. It may be out dated, but it's still simply amazing:

We couldn't pull it out of the shop, as it was awaiting clear bra (also why there's no real pics of the hood, because it was all messy from the clear bra). So just to prove no swirls!:

That's all guys! As always, C/C Welcome! :wavey

must be me since ive never seen it before but it was sorta weird and neat at the same time to see the rear end flip upwards the way it did.and i love the interior. as you said, outdated but timeless:cool:

Thanks guys!

Sam, as far as the shop, it was getting a clear bra done right after the detail, so we detailed it at Premier Protective Films in Fremont at their shop.

What a beautiful machine, I love how simple the interior is. I have been looking into getting a flex and after this thread I think I will have to purchase one.

Thanks everyone for the compliments! It was a real treat to work on the car.. just wish we could have started her up to listen to her scream!

As far as the flex, I love it too. I have a metabo and the flex rotary is not only lighter, but a lot more user friendly than the metabo. If I don't pick up a makita soon, I'll be picking up the flex.

Did I mention how much I dislike you? haha! Great job as always, glad things are working out for you! Next time you have a F40 lined up, im flying to Cali ok??

Thanks everyone! Yeah, I loved working on this car! What I did to keep myself from just staring at the car all day was just focus on what I was doing at that moment. "I'm not detailing an F40, I'm polishing LEXAN." I did that for ever little thing I worked on to keep my mind straight. Every once in a while I'd get side tracked though ;).

And Billy, sure come on bud! I've got more comin', so you might wanna make the trip earlier than later!
