Accelaration product for layers

Forgive my english

Have you ever know about a product like this, it is worth it, Somebody is selling me some product, I dont know the brand name. Any help

The only product I know of with an accelerant is Zaino. The name of the accelerant is Zaino and it comes in a package with 4 2 ounce bottles and a small vial.

It is pictured here

Its the package on the right.

Talking about zaino, could it be apply by PC or it is better by hand. Comparing the zaino with the Klasse products. What do you think. I have the same question that dookie, could the ZFX be used with Klasse SG

On larger cars and using ZFX, the PC and a foam finishing pad will be good, faster and more evenly spread the product. On a smaller car, or not using ZFX, I prefer hand.

I have not tried using ZFX with other products than Z, I have no reason to, if something was deisgned for product A, why introduce product B into the picture? Sure with car washes, Qd's, and toppers, but ZFX is such a different product. I wouldn't try it, but you can try it and experiment on a beater car. Who knows, Klasse SG might become glossier and shinier, but on the other hand, you might be out on an ounce of Klasse SG with a few drops of ZFX because the solution turned into a solid mass.

Maybe something worth talking to with Sal?

I tried ZFX with BFII once, just to see if it would have any effect (and possibly solve the smearing problem I had with BFII). It didn't work at all, but then again, I didn't really expect it to. Sometimes, I just let my inner-mad scientist have his way and give stupid experiments a try . . . it only cost me 1/2 oz. of BFII and 2 drops of ZFX, so I figured, "Why not?"

Three more questions

Im going to work with Zaino this Saturday.

1) Could you apply zaino on the sunlight or it is better on the shade.

2) Could you topped it with #26 or P21s

3) one Z5, another Z5 and then one Z2 is it OK

1. I have used both, I prefer to apply and remove in the garage/shade and let it dry in the sun.

2. I would not recommend it, been reading a few posts about carnauba wax eating away at the Zaino. I prefer straight Z.

3. You may do two coats of Z5 enabled with ZFX, rinse out the bottle, or get a new one, and mix up some Z2 with ZFX and put that on top.

My questions

1. Which version of Z2/Z5 are you using?

2. What kind of car are you doing this to? (year, make, model)

3. What do you have palnned for it bseides Zaino? (in terms pof polishing and paint surface prep.)

1) I think is the last version (The new one) the products am going to pick them on friday with a friend, but he told me that was the last version

2) My car is an Audi A4 99

3) I dont think I need anything else, I dont have scratches or something (But in case one day I need that wich one do you use)

A couple of weeks ago I tried Meguiars.

Paint Protection

#26

So my car right now is in good condition, but I want to try Zaino, it is Ok, or better wait a month or so.

I think I have circular swirls marks on my car, that you can only see on the night with little bit of light. Do I need to use anything else.

Could I attach a pic of my car in this post.

The thing with Zaino (and most other sealants and waxes) is, you must have perfect paint or darn near perfect paint when starting the Zaino process.

The new Z5 is in a white bottle, and the new Z-2 doesn't stick to the sides of the bottle and has a white top.

Importance of paint prep

It must be my eyes, but I added a coat of Z5 with ZFX on the corolla and it looked a little better (more glossier.)

If you have swirl marks on the car, try to remove them before uisng Zaino, or if they are really really really minor, Z5 may cover them up.

If you want to Zaino, sure give the car a good Dawn Wash, then Zaino away.

Yes, you can attach a car to this post if you want (thats why it is there?)

"Why not?"

Because products like BFII don't crosslink with air and bond molecularly. The last time I used BFII, it was oily, and oil and straight polymer resin don't mix. Therefore adding ZFX won't do anying since there's nothing to accelerate.

would Sal even answer that question or would he just hang up or something? :D

Seriously though, I'm not sure ZFX would work with Klasse just as a guess. I don't know what Zaino is based on, but Klasse is acrylic based, and is probably formulated differently. Also, Zaino seems to require a curing agent like Z1 or ZFX to work, while Klasse does not....

As I said, I really didn't have great hopes of it working . . . and I meant "why not?" in the sense of "It will only cost me < $1.00 to try, and I don't think it will explode. I hope." :D

Gotcha! :xyxthumbs

Guys

One more question what do you recommend before the zaino application.

Minor Scratches (Option 1) ?

Mayor Scratches (Option 2) DACP?

well how deep scratches? If you can catch them with your finger nail, don't expect them to be removed. If they are down to primer or metal, expect a touch-up job.

For moderate swirling, use DACP by hand (remember to work it in throughly, not like waxing, this ain't wipe on wipe off.) If there is a haze left over or some smaller scratches try Meguiar's #9, or #82, after these two products, the paint should off better.

Jason How about Menzerna IP and FP

DACP = IP

Meg #9 or 82 = FP

Is this correct.

Thanks again for all the time you spend explaining me everything, now am getting a better overview of this products

Well not on a direct translation scale. The Menzerna IP may be a touch, VERY light touch less barasive than DACP, but not by much. The FP is along the lines of #9 or 82 in terms of abrasiveness. The FP claims to have no fillers, but I find it to stick like glue, alcohol and water remove this in hurry.
