About to order a PC - can someone check this for me, please?

Hello,

I'm about to take the plunge and ship over a PC.

Before i do, could someone look at this link for me and let me know if the kit includes everything i'm going to need?

I know i'll have to get a transformer here in the UK and will have to buy some polishing and finishing pads (which i can get here, too) but I just want to be sure that everything else is coming in the kit.

If you have any other info or tips, i'd be really grateful.

Many thanks in advance,

Face

Yup, you'll be ready to go!

I bought the same package...

Take the Porter Cable pad and throw it as far as you can!

I've been happy with the pads from CMA. You'll probably need more of each than you imagine, tho.

Good Luck!

Jim

Facemen, isn't there a product availabe to you in the UK that will run on your local line current?

I think you might find a short life if running the PC on a transformer.

There's not really anything here suitable... many, many uk autopians have been searching for ever trying to find an equivalent. That's why we're all importing PCs :-(

Why do you think running the PC on a step-down transformer will shorten the life of a PC? Surely if the PC is getting 110v then it will be happy - it doesn't know it's connected to a transformer.

Thanks everyone,

Face

Yes this is the correct kit, same as the one I got, you don't need anything else. Be sure to change your counterweight when it arrives. And your right, running it via the transformer will not shorten it's life, 110V is 110V however you get it.

This was posted by Lowejackson in a previous thread. I don't know the cost I'm afraid as I got mine in the US.

lakecountry pads can be purchased in the UK. These are identical to the CMA pads (Lakes is the OEM supplier). First Autobody Supplies Unit C2, Sneyd Hill Industrial Estate, Burslem, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Tel:01872-817172

But I think S-O-T phone numbers are 01782 not 01872.
