They use the same backing plate. The Griot's has more power, so it won't bog down as easily as the PCXP. The Griot's feels very good in the hand. The included backing plate is just under 6", but it's recommended that you use 6" or 6.5" pads with the standard backing plate. will the backing plate that works on a PC work on the GG?
EDIT: I noticed both operate at the same OPM's so what difference would the bigger AMPS make?
I do like the ERGOnomics of the GG, looks like it would be easier to use.
Also the backing plate that is included, what pads does it accept? the 5.5? or 6.5?
I'm not sure how exactly 5.5" pads fit on the included backing plate, but if the pad is smaller than the backing plate, the face of the backing plate will be exposed to your paint... which isn't good.
