I've been researching which tire cleaner I'd like to try but need to know one thing, I've read some post here that say A2Z no longer uses acid ( that's good ). Now here's the question, when I went to an auto parts store I found A2Z ( it's orange if that means anything ) but the bottle didn't say anything about it no longer uses acid, does the new bottle say anything about this?

Thanks,

Al

First I think you have a couple products mixed up. Eagle One A2Z is a wheel cleaner not a tire cleaner. They do make a tire cleaner called...... Eagle One Tire Cleaner. Two different products.

To answer your question, I have not seen nor am I aware of any public announcement that they changed the formula from acid-based to alkaline-based. Most companies don't make announcements like this, preferring to use the classic, "new and improved!!!" tag line.

If the product is in an orange bottle it is the new formulation. If its in the black bottle its the old stuff. The old stuff was fine if a little too harsh for some people. I've used literally gallons of the old stuff (and still do) without problems. But for most uses the new stuff works just as well and is safer to use.

Hope this helps.

Its my understanding that the old EO Wheel Cleaner (black bottle) is acidic. I believe that the new forumla EO A to Z (orange bottle) is alkaline
