AARRRRGGGGGG - Cats...

"The pound and then put to sleep as a stray"

Now that's caring it just to far! Pets are like family, if I knew you did that to my kid's cat you would never find your car again and the car after that too! But hey good thing I live in the country. I clearly understand what damages cars, dogs, birds do and I would get mad as H*ll if a cat damaged my car but I would not kill it. Why are people so incentive that property is more valuable the life is ? Bub you need to take a insensitivity class!

Well if they would keep their cats inside and take care of them thats one thing. I don't let my dog sh*t in anyone else's yard but my own. Same thing man. You say I'd never find my car? I wish you'd try it big boy.

I didn't say *I* would kill it. It's up to the county pound to do what they want with it. If the owner wants it that bad they'll go looking for it.

Would you let your dog/cat walk on someone's car? How would you like it if it was your car/truck?

To hall with cats. I loathe them too. I cannot tell you guys how much trouble I suffered with those disgusting creatures. But when it comes to thinking, the poor (but loathsome) creature is actually intending no hram to your ride but only looking for a warm spot to curl around and nap. (Noticed that they never climb on your hood in the summer ?) So I still hate them but pity them for their helplessness against winter conditions, thus never want them harmed. However, there STILL has to be a way to keep them away from my ride. The blanket idea sounds OK but I am worried about the dust which will be trapped under it and the condensation under humid conditions which we are cursed here in Istanbul with; for all the 8 months from September to May...

Wish I had a garage... :(

Just trap them. I have trapped about 20 cats in the neighborhood. Neighbors wander where they go...The pound and then put to sleep as a stray. The hell with them.

Yeah, my GF is going to be thrilled when I bring a trap to her house, set it in her yard, trap her cats, and take them to the humane society to have them killed.

Mmm just don't tell her where the cats went! I have had the little buggers climb on our car that sits outside in the summer, they don't care. My neighbours let them run wild all the time, they crap in my back yard and in my neighbours flower garden. She's had it with them and I am tired of cleaning up after them. I told me wife no cats, go play with our friends cats, besides I'm allergic to them. I hope you find a solution to your problem.

I have the same problem, except its with my own cats! They run right off the garden onto my hood draging dirt and mud with them.

The only solution I have found is to keep them inside at night.

Get a bow and arrow and *thwack* that cat wont be doing much of anything after that.

Just get the super soaker and blast it, get the most powerful one, it will be awesome trust me. The cat WILL not get on it again, spray some water around your car on the ground, pinch off a piping hot loaf or urinate around your car.

They sell products to keep cats away from furniture, but I haven't personally used any. Another thing to try is laying orange peels around where your car parks, etc. (Gardening tip)

Marry your girlfriend and move to a new house! :hifive:

I wish I could trap the two little rat-dogs that wander the neighborhood crapping all over the place (including my lawn!) Sometimes I want to get a paintball gun for some target practice. I don't get the owners' thought process...do they think that their dogs don't crap?

perhaps use one the new spray-on plastic covers on the hood

then, maybe cover that with something really oily and slippery, maybe the cat won't like it
