A Zaino Sunset

SilverLexus

Super Enthusiast
I took some pictures today after a detail of my silver paint at sunset. Silver is very hard to capture correctly but I find it helps to take pictures late in the day. We had a cool sunset which I captured somewhat reflected in the paint...

You are right.

I liked the sunset. Also liked the shimmering reflection of the third shot.

Nice gloss considering theres not much light going on. Quick question. Did u get the Silver Lexus before or after you became an OCD detailer.

Reason I ask is that I don't ever see myself getting a light colored car. Maybe a dark grey.

Next car is gonna have "Carbon Black". Can you imagine how great your lexus with Zaino would look with lets say "black"?!?

Before but I always used quality products on the prior ES. :)

We have talked about getting my wife a carbon black BMW actually. She likes the 330i that you have - we both test drove one, me twice. Awesome car. :)

I disagree with that -- I much prefer the lighter colors since with spending as much time working with customers' vehicles, I don't always have the time to treat mine as well as I would like to. At least with a lighter color, I can hide little minor defects and imperfections longer than I could with a darker colored vehicle.

All the vehicles I have on my short list look best in black. I told myself that I don't want another black vehicle. Luckily they all come in other colrs I'd be willing to take.

The car looks pretty nice Lee. :beer_smil

Looks excellent, Lee.

I love seeing these silver shots...My next vehicle will be silver, silver grey, or charcoal...something like that. It's still a detail worthy color, but hides (to most eyes) most defects.

Speaking of Silver...

How do you make a silver car POP? Black is so easy, but Silver really takes some work. Any tips besides the obvious cleaning/sealing/polishing?
