A sunny day in Southern New England

Gonzo0903

Detail City Fire Rescue
50+ degrees, sunny... and I took advantage of it! I took the hose out, gathered my detailing stuff and had some "therapy" (I needed it after setting up the Christmas tree and helping Mrs. Gonzo string the lights!)

Grand Cherokee: I waxed it with 3 coats of S-100 last week during a night tour at the firehouse, so it got a bath, the tires and body cladding were redone (Eagle One tire shine on the tiresd, Meguiar's NXT protectant on the cladding), interior was vacuumed, windows cleaned

F-150: washed, buffed with Meguiar's #9 and the PC, waxed with Meguiar's #26 and S-100, tires treated with Eagle One tire shine, NXT on the rear bumper cover and the spoiler under the front bumper. interior was vacuumed, windows cleaned

Mustang: went over it with Mequair's Quick Detailer ( It's stashed in the garage for winter)

I even washed and vacummed "Snuggles"... my son's winter rat.. a 1985 Nissan Maxima with 191K miles)

A tip for hose draining for winter...

After I finished with the washing, I took all the hose off the reel, but left it attached. I then took a funnel and placed it in the end of the hose reel connection. I stuck a funnel into the hose reel's short section and used the leaf blower in the funnel to "push" the water out using the power of the blower.. worked like a charm!

No pics, as I do not have a digital camera. I ilike S100 for ease of application and the incredible shine it gives, and I thnk that each coat gives the finish a little more depth.

Todays weather though..... arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Snow to sleet to freezing rain to freezing drizzle to rain and back to freezing rain!
