A Shiny Black Bug...it's a BEETLE

This is another car that after sending to a painter shop for some touch-up, the car ended up with lots of buffer swirls and certain part of the paint work actually looked quite blur. The swirls were not too bad but the blurry effects were pretty tough to get rid off. Out of all, it was the roof that gave the most problem; it was basically covered with scratches.

1. wash & clay

2. IP/RMG mix + Orange pad + DA @ speed 5 (certain areas received 4-5 passes)

Here’s the result after the above steps,

With most of the defects removed, than I proceed as follow,

3. Vanilla Moose + Green pad + DA @ speed 4

4. Carnauba Moose Wax with foam applicator by hand

5. Buff off the residue with JW Carnauba Jett using MF towel by hand

These last 3 steps really add an amazing glow, depth and wetness to the car, the photos shall do the talking.

When I started with the photo session, the weather looked like this,

Not even half way through the session, it became like this,

Had to go through the photo session real fast before it starts to rain, so here’s the result.

That is the nicest finish I've seen on a Beetle. I wish I could move to Singapore and just sit in that autopark. Great work as always. :xyxthumbs

You always do such excellent work! Great swirl/defect removal and terrific looking paint. :)

You seem to be using a lot of Clearkote products lately. I take it you are happy with them?

when u say 4 or 5 passes do you mean you buffed off the polish then reapplied more polish a total of 5 times?

or did you just make 4-5 slow passes using the same polish applied once?

Gen.......I too will be trying out the IP/RMG mix. I used IP alone and loved it.

You did such a great job bro. Rolling sets of mirrors there now!!!

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind compliments :p .

If you happen to visit Singapore, do give me a PM so I can arrange a meetup with you to do some sight seeing.

I am really impress with VM, RMG, Quikshine and CMW from Clearkote, they give very deep and wet look to the car but somehow lack in the shine factor. After using JW CJ with the last buffing stage, I manage to achieve that 'perfect' carnauba look I am looking for.

You will love the IP/RMG mix even more, much lesser dust with a much deeper and LSP ready finish.

Hi guys, thanks for the compliments once again.

What camera is that?

I am using the Nikon D40, a very affordable DSLR and also produces great photos :xyxthumbs .
