A Red Sexy 307CC

Gen2

New member
This red sexy 307CC is simply gorgeous except the dealer gave the owner something extra which was not expected by the owner, swirl marks. If not for the swirl marks, the car is simply flawless. The process for the makeover is,

1) Wash with Optimum Car Wash

2) Spot claying

3) Wash and dry

4) Optimum Compound + Cutting pad + DA @ speed 5.5

5) Optimum Polish + Polishing pad + DA @ speed 5.5

6) Optimum Car Wax by hand

The tires are dressed with Optimum Tire Shine and the plastic and rubber trim dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus.

Thanks for reading the posting.

I live in Texas. Your pic's of the Puegeot are as exotic as the location.

You have captured the detail. Very wet and reflective. Nice worl!!

WOW!!! That car is amazingly wet and deep, looks like you could fall into the paint! That is a pretty slick looking car too, we dont get cars like that in the states.

WOW what a great job! I love that color. Now thats a nice looking car.

Note to GM: Why cant you build a car like this? Create a car that people will drool over and you will nolonger have $$$$$ problems!

 That is a really cool looking car!

Excellent job on the detail too, you gotta love how removing the swirls makes the paint look deeper, darker and richer. :)

The car looks like it is wrapped in a layer of WET.

Hi guys, thanks for all the compliments :D .

How much pressure do you put on the PC while compounding / polishing?

I would say something like 20-25 pound of strenght for compounding and around 15 pound of strenght for polishing. But the best trick I have learned so far is from Scottwax, moving the PC 1" per sec when doing the passes does help alot, thanks Scott for the super tips you have shared :xyxthumbs .

Althought the car is relatively new but when the owner came to pick up the car, he is very surprise and please that the improvement is pretty obvious. :D

Yeah that's what Gm needs to do, take advice on building cars from the French.
