A quick demonstration of Chemical Guys ONE

ONR is also a waterless wash.

My guess is that SuperBee used a small amount of the ONE because it has a slight polishing effect. For example, I used QEW this weekend, and some non-etched watermarks were left behind. Some buffing with a microfiber removed them, but you need a little bit of safely lubricated abrasive or polishing action to do so. My detailing spray didn't do it, but ONE would because of the bit of clay in it.

I am always amazed at the amount of people who trash a product they have never used.

ONE contains some kaolin and it does not generate swirls. Put some in your hands and rub it on your face if you don"t believe me - this stuff is softer than most skin soaps.

I don't thing such a smart company as Chemical Guys would put a product with devastative side-effects on the market -- especially in a country where lawyers jump on every opportunity to sue a company, even if the user is as dumb as it goes (McDonald's-hot-coffee-that-burns-me, anyone?)

ONR is not a waterless wash. You do have to add water (2 gallons for 1 capful of ONR).

Depending on the concentration of ONR to Water, you can use it as a wash, quick detailer, or clay lubricant. Very versatile.

I am tempted to give CG One a try!

I pick up the opportunity to remind everyone that any waterless system, including CG ONE, is NOT meant to be used on really dirty/dusty/muddy cars! Most customers cars are way too dirty correctly use this kind of product -- hence their bad reputation.

That may be true for the Chemical Guys version but isn't the case for other products...

Poorboy's Spray and Wipe can be used safely on anything short of mud. All you have to do is spray on more product and use many more MF towels.

Comparing S&W to CG One is that S&W you spray it on and gently wipe it off ... no "vigorous buffing" needed. 2- It doesn't leave anything behind to interfere with another application of a sealant. 3- S&W is a waterless wash and doesn't contain any clay ... it's non abrasive and will leave you with perfectly clean paint ... if you have no wax or sealant on it it'll be bare paint. If you have a wax on, S&W will leave you with a cleaned and refreshed waxed surface (by refreshed, it doesn't add any wax but it removes any 'dead' wax making it look fresh) and it'll bring you back to the top of your sealant and won't interfere with any bonding.

Just ordered a gallon of the ONE.

Now i can see what all the fuss is about.

Be sure to shake that gallon for a good 10 minutes, the kaolin clay at the bottom is NOT easy to shake up.

It leaves something behind, even if it isnt a big deal, something is there after.

Emmanuelv, where in Belgium do you live? I am from Brugge.

Where do you get your CG products from?

Hmm...Very interesting thread - I just figured ONE was like all the other waterless washes where you went panel by panel but it's interesting that you spray the whole car at once. I actually like this idea and would probably wash my car more if I had this option. I may have to look into ordering this product next time!

Also, love the look of your car. It looks like a Saturn Aura coupe version...hmmm maybe Saturn will really make that! I think the Aura would look great as a convertible couple but now I am getting off-topic :)

Hmm..Funny what a quick search pulls up

Hello, I am from Uccle (Brussels). We are not very far from each other :cooleek:

I buy my CG stuff online in the UK, either from CleanYourCar.co.uk or from ChemicalGuysUK.com .

Thanks for your interest for my car :woot2:

The pictures I made from the interior are not very nice (unable to represent the real bordeaux color) but here they are anyway :

Thinking the same thing. That car looks great! Wish the US got Alfa again.

I remember reading that Alfa is coming back to the states sometime in 2009.

Thanks for posting the interior pics, Alfa really did a great job on this one. Nothing gets better than red leather interior.

What my main concern is the ingredient KAOLIN which is actually clay. Does this compromise your LSP?

Kaolin is an ingredient in MOST OTC waxes, sealants, glazes and polishes.

For example, Megs puts it in NXT, #26, DC3, GC, amongst others.

It doesn't scratch, marr, remove or anything else unpleasant. It's used to FILL and mask imperfections in the paint, like fine swirls. In ONE, it's a positive ingredient and nothing to concern anyone.

May I also repeat what others have said: LOVE THE ALFA!!! :bounce

We're fortunate to have had Alfa Romeos almost continuously in Australia. I've seen a few GTs driving around and they are stunners!

So I'm a huge fan of ONE now... a friend of mine at work got a blue prius 3 months ago, and hadn't washed it. It was driving me crazy that she didn't find the time to at least take it to a hand car wash. So instead at the work parking garage I pulled out about 8 of the yellow costco MF towels and a spray bottle of ONE. sprayed the whole car and we both started wiping. She was really skeptical as the car was pretty filthy. 10 minutes later we had a sparkling clean car where she even said it looked better than new LOL...

Anyways, it rocks! although it's a bit pricey as we blew thru about 8 oz! I bought the gallon of ONE..

anyway, for a quick wash without a hose or bucket of water, this rocked!
