A poor man's foam cannon

For those weekend warriors who would like a cheap alternative to a real foam cannon, I present to you the Ortho Dial n Spray multi-use hose-end sprayer. It's traditionally used for spraying insect killers, weed killers, fertilizers, etc. But works great with car shampoo. Just attach it to the end of your garden hose, set the dial for amount you want to come out. (ounces per gallon) And it only cost $10.95 at Home Depot in the garden section.

You may want to use a high foaming soap such as RainX with it for maximum effect. Although I prefer to use a soap and wax combo. I tend to spray the soap, let sit for a minute, rinse, and blow dry it with my leaf blower. Great results for a touchless quick-wash.

do you have any in action pics or vids

No I don't, but if I can get a larger SD card (I only have a 2gb card right now, and that's not really big enough for a video) for my phone's camera, I will make a vid and post it on youtube.

The amount of foaming action will highly depend on what kind of soap you use, and how you set the dial on the spray bottle. But don't expect a very thick layer of foam, because if all it took was this ortho dial n spray to achieve a lavish rich layer of foam, everyone would be doing it instead of spending more money for professional results. But make no mistake, it's decent alternative for the amateur detailer or for someone wanting a good way to apply soap.
