A polish puerly for added gloss

Hey guys, I'm looking for a completely non-abrasive polish (my car is new and has little to no visible marring) solely to add more gloss to my vehicle prior to Z5pro/Carnauba.

After some reading, I've come up with these thoughts:

AIO

Optimum with black/blue pad

Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze

Any thoughts on these? Anything better out there? Can optimum be used with out abrasive characteristics using a black/blue pad?

Finally, if I do polish with anything besides AIO, should I put AIO on afterwards anyways for added protection?

I did my 06 Jetta with Klasse AIO and topped it with Klasse SG...which a few months later, I clayed it, Klasse AIO'd it again, Klasse SG'd it again, then put on Menzerna FMJ about 3 weeks later...

I'd say she's as shiny as the day she came home fresh from the dealership.

if you use #3 0r #7 you will need to use a wax. They contain a lot of oils in them and most sealants will not work with these. Have you used Z5 pro yet? I remember you had ordered it, but was not sure if you used it yet. What else did you order with it?

It has arrived along with ZFX, but I have yet to use it.

<----Is that the wetness and gloss you want?:shocked

Yes

If I can't use a sealant (SG or Z5pro) over #3 and #7 then forget it. I want that added protection. What I'm basically trying to do here is ramp up the intensity on the look of my car to the ultimate power. Since after all, it is my #1 selling tool hehe. I'm assuming I can do that and still retain the long lasting protection of a sealant as well. I'm looking for a detail using a pc to this extent:

Wash

Polish with PC

AIO with PC

3x Z5pro w/zfx

2x Natty blue with PC

Possibly a clay, though I don't think thats needed with polishing?

Yeah try this. I have tried it and love it. Its my go to glaze b/c it can be topped with a sealant or wax. No abrasives and no fillers!

Excuse the interruption but you can use a sealant in the following order:

Complete paint prep if necessary, Werkstatt prime and Werkstatt Acrylic Jett "or" Klasse AIO and SG.

Follow the above with #3 or #7 , you could then put on a good pure carnuba PS, CG 50/50, Etc,.

The above recipe will allow you to put on other coats of #3/#7 or carnuba interchangeably (stacking).

This will give you the protection of the sealants and the looks of a glaze/carnuba.

No fuss, no muss.

Changeling

PS. This is the route I am taking.

WITH MY WIFES CAR I USE CG'S X-TERME CREME GLAZE FOLLOWED UP WITH THIER TOP COAT SEALANT AND X2 PINNICLE SIG 2

HERE'S SOME EYE CANDY FOR YOU

Danforz,

The fact that your car is new doesn't mean that your paint surface is as perfect as it could be. Using oil-rich glazes will provide wetness and the kind of appearance you're looking for. BUT... using a mildly abrasive finishing polish is the only way to bring the paint up to the next level. These polishes burnish the paint like no other, bringing up the gloss as a simple glaze never could. So, you'll need some mechanical action for your new paint to look even newer - or more perfect as we would say. This way you put the accent on the gloss of the paint itself, not on the topping layer.

A perfectly prepped surface gives more stability to the sealants or waxes. If you use a gloss enhancing product, use one which acts not only chemically but also mechanically, like Prime (as Coupe said), OPS, but of course, a fine standalone finishing polish from Menzerna, Blackfire (same) will do a perfect job.

Your original arsenal is excellent too. AIO can do perfect as well (don't forget that it has abrasives too) and I must say that Optimum Polish with a fine finishing pad is simply awesome - just don't afraid of the word abrasive. Your waxes or sealants will provide the protection, and you can choose your LSP according to your preferences. When your environment is rich in bird- and sprinkler "invaders", then it is recommende to use a heavy carnauba because of their superior physical protection. Other factors count too, but at the end you decide.
