A piece of history

Bart, I'm sorry, I don't have any idea on quantities manufactured. I probably hadn't given it serious thought I have seen them on several occasions. I know that later generations (post war) of the Woodsman Match Targets did not have the taper under lug barrel. I've seen these more frequently.
I did a search and found several third series but NO first series.
If you run across someone who would like to own it let me know I can send you some photos.
 
I just looked in a 27th edition Blue Book of gun values and it claims 16000 were made and the value of the model I have is $2695.00 but the book is about 6 years old so it may be higher by now but I would take less. :drool:
I have a rifle that is 1 of 6 ever made but only 3 still exist in original for the other 3 were turned into 50 cal. 1000 yard guns.
I have no idea what it is worth but 1 of 3 in the whole world makes it rare.
