The Brother-In-Law just picked up a new RX8. On the way to a family dinner (in seprate cars), the wife snapped some pics of the car in traffic. No, it's not a "just detailed"pic, but I liked it and I thought I would share. Think I need to get some action shots of my own car in action.

A little of the sharpness was lost in resizing it to get it uploaded, but you get the idea....

You can't really tell but they have four doors too.

REALLY?! 2 suicide doors?

That is a KILLER pic! Looking good!

There is a dealership that sells them about 1 mile from my office....everytime I drive by I almost swerve off the road from starin' at the things!

:xyxthumbs

Yep, 2 suicide rear doors. Open pretty wide too. He wanted a sports car, but with a 1yr old, needed access to the back and room for a car seat. He has room in the back for a rear facing car seat without moving the front passenger seat forward at all! I got a chance to take it around the block ... or two. :) I'm very impressed with the entire car. Very well thought out inside and the handling is excellent. It would be alot of fun to throw around on a road coarse.

I own a 350Z and have inquired whether or not Nissan was going to be offering a TT model anytime soon. They have no plans on releasing a TT version of the 350Z anytime soon. :nixweiss The 300ZX TT, although a great performer, wasn't a big success because of the high cost. The new 350Z has a 3.5 L compared to the 300ZX's 3.0 and 287hp vs 300hp respectively. The 350Z is considerably lighter than the older 300ZX's aswell. There are several after market companies working on both super charger and twin turbo kits for the 350Z. I'll be looking into them come next spring when the prices drop and bugs get worked out of the first generations. The problem with boosting the 350 is that since the compression ratio is so bloody high ( 10.3:1 ) any boost above 6 psi is looking for trouble. Greddy's tt kit that has yet to be released is generating 90 extra horsies at 5.6 psi of boost which isn't too bad. With the Greddy TT kit the 350Z can do a 1/4 mile run in 12.9...which is pretty damn quick ! Lets hope for more companies to jump on the bandwagon to drop the prices.
