A moron...

The Driver- I wish those B7 Avants would accommodate the dog stuff. For that matter, I wish *any* Audi Avant would...(still miss my "just didn`t work for that" S6 one) but for a German Wagon I need a pre-`06 VW.

[OK, I do plan to quit with the off-topic talk..]

What dog stuff needs to fit? I can fit my Great Dane/English Mastiff mix and German shorthair/lab mix in the back of my A6 avant with the seats folded up. If you`re used to S8 power, you could always go 3.0T - My friend has one that runs 12.something in the 1/4 just playing around (not doing crazy gonna-smoke-the-tranny launches). :D

Sorry, back on topic. Wow, that guy`s a piece of work. Saw his "welcome" post...

People actually like Volvo station wagons? Wow! Now I had a Saab 900 M/T I picked up in Gotteburg (sp) that I liked, but it wasn`t a station wagon. Lol.

Oneheadlite- It`s one of those "Accumulator wants things *just exactly* his way" situations, I`m spoiled by my earlier wagons :o

When we tried fitting the crate (and that was with only one crate) into the back of my S6 Avant and Allroad, it didn`t fit well at all and the not-flat-folding seats were a dea-breaker, I *absolutely insist* on the rear seats (if I leave them mounted, often unbolt `em) folding perfectly flat. We checked out so many different model year Avants trying to find one that`d be just right but compared to the VW wagon I had, and the Volvos, the Audis just didn`t do it for us. Admittedly we only use crates when they`re young or when we need to take one for use in a hotel/etc. but still...not enough utility for my version of a station wagon (can`t haul much at all by my standards). Eh...I do kinda still miss my S6 Avant and the later V8 ones certainly have their appeal, but no more vehicles for me anyhow, got the right ones now :D

And to be honest, *nothing* is as perfectly configured for my dog-hauling as my OBS Tahoe (with one rear seat removed). Nothing. Don`t have to enjoy driving it, have other stuff for that.

rlmccarty2000- Ya know how they say it can be fun to drive a slow car fast? My tweaked 245 wagon was the perfect example. And I could hang with guys in "real cars" in traffic, they simply couldn`t shake it in the Real World (with me at the wheel ;) ) which drove smart-[alecks] nuts. Wimpy little four-banger in a big heavy car...go figure.

And it could carry mulch/etc. like I couldn`t believe, huge cavern inside that was perfectly flat.
