A little confused on Zaino.

There is no cure!
Do you have to use the Fast Cure Additive in order to use the sealant?

I know the question is sort of a given, and at first I thought I knew the answer, but now I'm just not sure.

I know the additive is for multiple coats, but what if I just wanna put one coat?

Does the sealant behave differently, look different, take longer to dry?

I used zaino a little while back before FK1 and now plan on giving the Zaino a whirl over my aunts minivan.

Curing time will be the same as any usual sealant. I heard that it even looks different, but I haven't noticed that.

It may have an effect on durability but I can't comment on that. I am too new to Zaino (1.5 months use).

I also prefer to use it even with one coat. the cure time is better, looks wetter and is more durable. this is what I have noticed in the few years I have used it. take it for what it is worth. could always use Z1 ? let us know how you make out.

Without the addtion of either Z1 or ZFX to the intial layer of a Z sealant you will be losing the best part of what Zaino provides. Protection. It will still work but Z2Pro or Z5 need an activator to work properly. Some say it helps enhance the appearance but in my personal tests I have not found that to be the case.

Z1 is required, if not using ZfX, once every ten layers of Zaino. If using ZFX then Z1 is not needed. If there are layers of ZFX'd Zaino sealant on the existing vehicle then one additional layer per 24 hours of Z2Pro or Z5 does not need ZFX or Z1 up to a total of ten layers..

I've used it by itself for single coats and have seen no difference in either dry time or finish.

When I said I prefer to use the ZFX,I meant on the initial layer/ layers. just wanted to clear that up. somebody might get the wrong idea from my post. after the intial layer/ layers, I have used it by itself.

I have put many layers of Z2Pro or Z5 on one day at a time. As long as there is an activator on the paint from a previous application or application of Z1 which does not have to be buffed off after hazing. Just apply Z2Pro or Z5 right on top of the hazed Z1. I think it works better doing it this way. But sometimes I do not have the time so ZFX is a way to get it done in one day. Up to three layers in any 24 hour period.
