Good to know the level of work is improving out there. I know my local Megs distributor has been pushing the DA microfiber system hard in my area. Not sure how many are taking it but anything it better than a rotary and knitted wool for applying polish!

No new painting, they detailed the car because it took a few extra days to get the car in my hands...i was very against them touching nissan paint...but they did fantastic job with everything...i drove it home and stripped the oils/fillers, to my surprise the paint was great! i only had to apply a lsp of my choice (wolfgang sealant) i had a 4 yr old unopened bottle lol

Very good to know! That used to be a Saturn dealership (Saturn of Okemos). Not sure if the Nissan franchise belongs to the same owner or not; I've not had to deal with them or their body shop directly (yet).

Are you now in the Lansing area, or still in Grand Rapids?

I am in Grand Rapids, I emailed every dealership from chicago to detroit. they ALL said I couldnt get a '13 in what I wanted and should buy a '12...The ONLY place that said they found 2 w/in 250 miles of there was lansing nissan of okemos. I talked with the salesman and the owner they both knew about the car and the little details. I researched for over a month before buying the car, they knew all the CORRECT answers as I asked them. If you are in GR I would be happy to meet up and talk to you about how happy I am with them! Even if you are in lansing, Id drive over there to get past the break in miles for the car haha. I NEED to go over 4500 rpm's lol

I am looking for a clear bra installer in the area (gr to detroit)...any suggestions? I have 2 3m authorised places lined up but im always open to suggestions from people in the know...

Only installer I have ever talked to is Paint Protection Plus out of Plymouth, and they seem to know their stuff pretty well. Only unfortunate thing is they told me they're not convinced of the XPEL Ultimate film and don't use it. If I were getting it installed, that's the film I'd want since it is self-healing.

Here's a couple directories with a few others listed:

i didnt want to go to madison WI but i will lol they did a great job on my 350z...i suppose a hotel room + glass nickel pizza = clear bra + good food lol I saw your posts and thought about grand ledge... but I have good contacts in Madison WI.

Looks good man. It is sad everyone is surprised about a car dealership's detail work in this way. I'd say you encountered that 1%, so bravo and congrats on the ride man!

I know of one shop in the DFW area that can buff a car without trashing it. One.

That probably means there is one PERSON that can buff at that shop. Sad how many butchers there are out there.
