a good brand of shampoo for the car?

This reminds me, I need a new gallon container to mix up my water:wash for my foam gun. Off to look through my reserve of surplus bottles I go :-)

I use the old Griot's gallon jugs, fortumately I kept two of the older ones as their newer more rectangular ones do *NOT* pour as well. Too much turbulence = too much foaming when pouring out the first few ounces...wish I'd saved a few more of the old ones as I like to keep about four gallons of mix onhand.
 
LOL, I understand. The Ultima is somewhat more concentrated than the Griot's so it's kind of a wash...no pun intended :)
 
I have gone between Optimum Car Wash and Griots recently, OCW is better in my opinion in terms of slickness, suds, smell, and overall the gloss after the soap is rinsed off. I will say that Griots is mild and works well and I have nothing against it though. I wish I had DG closer but I don't.

Thanks for posting that! It seems opinions vary between the OCW and the GG, with different people having different experiences/preferences :think: I just might have to give the OCW a try some time....
 
Ultima price is actually .50 per 5 gallon bucket. As Tom said more concentrated than the others. Best wash you'll find imo. I prefer the smell of others but smell only comes into play if all function is equal, which it is not.
 
Hmmm... I'd have to figure out the proper Ultima dilution for my foamgun concentrate :think: Seemed to take me forever to decide what I liked with the GG. This might just end up being a case where I don't try to fix that which isn't broken.
 
Guys, I was able to purchase the Ultima in a gallon size from some vendor I've never heard of. I'm quite certain AG has the gallon size now. I probably would NOT be buying it in those small bottles...

Asking that question is like lining up the 10 most beautiful women in the world and asking 100 men to pick the most beautiful.

Car wash shampoo is like that, since everyone has their own preferences and beliefs regardng what is "beauty".
 
If a few people are interested I would be happy to do a gb or daily deal on both gallon and small size of Ultima :)
