A few quick questions

So I've searched the forums and know i have learned a lot and now I want to put it to use.

I am about to order a bunch of stuff but before I do I wanted to ask a few questions as the answers might change some of my order.

Between myself and my family I'm looking at regular upkeep of 5 cars, 3 which I have taken average care of (I would have called it good care before I joined this site, thank you).

I plan on over the course of the next few weekends performing the following steps on each car :

wash
clay
wash
Klasse AIO
buff
Clearkote VMHG
buff
Klasse SG
buff & cure
Poorboys EX-P
buff & cure
Some sort of carnauba wax, not sure which one yet (probably Nattys)
buff

Now my questions :

Is this a good enough base process to bring the cars back some "wow" factor?

I have a PC 7336 and want to buy the E2K pad system. Which pad should I marry to which product? I was thinking I'll basically be using the blue and the white pads, but do I really even need blue pads for the AIO and VMHG? Should I buy multiple pads or just a good cleaner and clean pads between steps?

I know I've read that AIO and VMHG serve basically the same purpose, but in my reading so far I understood a glaze has filler oils which might help to "fill in" some of the micromarring, where as AIO really just does a good job of cleaning out everything. Am I somewhat correct?

Any other suggestions or tips?

Thanks in advance for all your help!

The only think i noticed is that you dont have any type of sriwl remover. That porcces is pretty intense and will ive you a good shine however its more about procces then product. Im assuming you will have some minor swirls at the least. I would suggest you get youself a swirl remover of some sort (i like pbs ssr) and use that to make the paint perfect

Strictly my opinions, but.....

wash
clay
wash

As mentioned by Calgary Detail, I would add a swirl remover here

Klasse AIO
buff

Great choice for a cleaner/polish

Clearkote VMHG
I personally would skip the glaze. It may have a negative effect on a sealnt bonding properly.

Klasse SG
buff & cure

The SG seems to be a great sealant, but not the easiest to work with.

Poorboys EX-P
buff & cure

If you use the SG, the EX-P seems like a redundant step.

Some sort of carnauba wax, not sure which one yet (probably Nattys)
buff

So,
Wash
Clay
Swirl removal
Paint cleaner/polish
Sealant
Carnauba if you feel it is necessary.

As far as pads, I use polishing pads with polishes, finishing pads with LSPs

Absolutely agree with this:
*you don't need another wash after the clay
*you need a process/product to remove swirls before the AIO
*no need for 2 different sealants-pick one-apply a couple coats and top with a carnauba

sorry for a newbie question,
but I always thought paint cleaner (Klasse AIO) should be used before polishing (SSR series). :dunno:
For the method mentioned above, is paint cleaner used to clean any remaining residues after polishing?

A paint cleaner after the swirl remover has always been my procedure. Partly to be sure of doing just what you said, removing any residue from the swirl remover before using a sealant.

Heres my fav. combo..pretty user friendly too

-Wash
-Clay
-Menzerna IP
-Menzerna FP II
-RMG
-EXP
-Natty's Blue

This will give u an ultra clear and wet finish.

Thanks for all the replies.

You guys are right, I did skip the swirl removal step. I will order some SSR1 since the swirls are mostly spiderweb type swirls.

From what I'm reading I basically need the following pads from Edge :

Orange
Blue
White

Should I order multiple quantities of the white so I can have a pad a product or just clean and reuse pads?

The reason I went with two different sealants is because a lot of people on the forums mentioned that SG left the paint bulletproof but looking "sterile" and I want to add some pop to the cars.

I guess nothing beats trial and error, as soon as the order comes in I'll take some before and after pics.

Thanks for all your help guys! Any other tips or pointers are definitely appreciated by me and my fellow newer detailers.

Also since 3 of the 5 cars are lighter color (2 silver and one ivory pearl) I was leaning towards natty but will natty blue do anything different? I know I've read its formulated for darker color cars
