A few pics of my Bonneville

Well, here it is. 1993 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi 192,000 miles. The car was wrecked back in September last year and was rebuilt in March this year.

The only new paint on the car is the hood, front bumper, and above the right rear wheel well. Everything else is original paint to my knowledge. Hood, bumper, fenders, passenger side mirror and back door were replaced after the accident.

I have spent alot of time on this car so far getting it to where it is now, so what do you think?

Here is the best I can do for a couple before shots.

The day after the accident

Here it is after the rebuild, but before any intense cleaning taken around March this year

Finally that brings me to where it is today.

I plan on getting a buffer soon and doing some more work on both this one and on the '03, I can't wait.

Nice work. I really like the 2003 though. It's right up there with the Mercury Marauder for my cars I wish were still in production.

Looking good! Especially that '03. Must be fun cleaning those wheels on the '93 though, huh?

I've been looking at the Bonneville recently to replace my Taurus. I like the long sedans. Although, GM paint seems to be tough to work with. For me anyway. Working on my Vibe is always a practice in patience.

Looks real nice -- But a 14 yr old car wasn't totalled after that? Did you do all the body work yourself?

I didn't turn it in to the insurance, it would have been totaled for sure though. I had a friend do the paint and straighten out the inner structure for me. I did all the rest myself. I actually was lucky enough to find a parts car that was the exact same car as this one that was hit on the drivers side.

Here is what all I ended up changing out:

headlights

bumper and bumper support

both fenders

radiator

trans cooler

trans lines

A/C condensor

hood

windshield

pass. side mirror

pass. side back door

yea, of course it was a lot of work and I now have more money into the car then it is worth, but I love this car very much and would do it all over again in a heartbeat:grinno:

well, since some of you seem to also be interested in the '03 here are some pics of that too
