A few blemishes

The hood and bumber have been repainted about 4.5 yrs ago.

Should I wet sand and polish or follow some other regimen?

You can't see very clearly on the bumper pic, but the lightened areas are the cc peeling/bubbling.

Bumper is an easy fix.

The hood is what concerns me most.



I watched the Meg's vids on wet-sanding, however, I haven no idea how much paint I have to play with.

Suppose I could call the shop owner where this was done being more than just a customer.

Peeling CC needs to be recleared or repainted.



Since it needs to be redone I would do whatever you want on it for practice! Break out the 1000/1500/2000 and wet sand like crazy. That way you get a feel for it and get over the common fear of wet sanding.



There's no way to gauge paint thickness besides a good tool. HF sells one for ~$80 but you get what you pay for. The good ones are $1000+ from what I've seen but you can get one that will get you by for ~$400. Some say the HF one isn't so bad but I'm not having luck with other products they sell so I'd personally stay away. Or be sure to buy the longest extended warranty they offer!
