I got grilles for the lighting under my carport and in my barn at Home Depot; they come in 4' chunks.
 
That is pretty sweet! Just like the 40's when A/C wasn't an option in a vehicle they had swamp coolers. Throw your ice in it, put the huge tube out the window and it blew in cold air... I doubt that thing would do anything in a garage though but cool idea.

I built one a long time again and just put in next to me. Self A/C FTW, lol. As soon as you move you're back in the heat, but it's a nice breeze while polishing! I should make another one, my garage is getting unbearable.
 
Thats an awesome cooler! Id recommend adding salt and water to the ice though...it lowers the freezing point of the water and allows cooler temps yet.
