A Case For The 16 x 24 Microfiber Towel

I use a lot of 16 X 24 waffle weaves. I have some 16 X 24 regular towels I have never used. I have a few of the AG Miracle Towels and one or two of the purple Cobras.

I'm not sure why I have never used them. It's like I'm saving them for something special that never seems to happen.

I also use CarPros BOA towels on occasion. I'm not sure of the size - but I guess they are bigger than 16 X 16. For whatever reason, they don't seem to hold up as well as other towels. I boiled one once to try to restore it - and it seems ruined.

My friend who's 6'6'' made the same point when using my oddly shaped towels (during the SC400 detail of his car) but his hand is larger compared to mine...

Conclusion: To some degree the towel size is really dictated by your height/hand size

Somewhat, I guess. I'm 6'4" and Wear size XL in gloves, but like 16x16 for most uses. I get more even pressure across the surface of the towel folded in quarters. I have a fair amount of 16x24 towels and don't use them much except for WW drying towels.

I just pulled the trigger on a 6 pack of 16x24 Chemical Guys MIC50706 towels. I needed to get to $35 to get free shipping from Amazon. I guess I'll see how I like them, but...

I would rather work with a 16x24 towel because I have more towel to work with.

And you know what they say about guys with big hands....

Big gloves.

I like my 16x24 miracle towels a lot. Also have the cobra grey ones and a chinchilla same size along with many towel pros polishing towels 16x24

I actually prefer the larger towels, gives me the extra length to grab and pull up the edges
