A bunch of pics of my M Coupe...

Took these the past two days. Since I work in photography I really don't get that much time to take my own shots, and when I do have time I sometimes just don't feel like picking up a camera. I got inspired a few days ago, though, so I headed out to take some snapshots.

Comments are welcome, but please keep in mind these are just snapshots!

This one, believe it or not, was not modified in Photoshop at all. I ran the auto levels and unsharp mask functions. That's it:

And finally I started tweaking this one in Photoshop and got carried away. It ended up turning into an ad mock-up. Comments are appreciated:

And the original of that same image:

Let me know what you all think!

Ben,

Those are some great pics or a very sweeeet car! :bow :bow :xyxthumbs

I really like your compositions and your choice of locations including the time of day in each shot! :D

That M Coupe is a very, very beautiful car! (I am partial to Bimmers though :D)

Keep up the great work!

Ben,

Absolutely fabulous pictures. Looks like a BMW add.

I've always been a huge fan of the coupe. Nice job.

I'm jealous.:xyxthumbs

hmm that's one BMW that I have never seen on the street or auto shows. Nor have I ever heard of it..

Is this a fairly new model put out by BMW?

The pics look great btw :)

Ben,

As a fellow Estoril Blue M Coupe owner, I can appreciate the unique beauty of these cars.

Picture #5 is a bit heavy handed with the "photochop" enhancements. The car (and the color) needs no embellishment.

Dean,

Number 5? This photo:

That photo has almost no ehancement whatsoever. I have the raw file if you're interested ;)...

Funny that you think that one is enhanced...it's one of the least enhanced! :nixweiss

Uh, could you compress the pics a bit? Some of us are on dial up. :(

I'd really like to see more than one or two of the pictures, but what I've seen so far, that is a beautiful car!

I've never seen this car before. Unusual.

Scottwax isn't the only one with problems. I've clicked on this thread multiple times, but the pix never get loaded before I got bored with waiting. So I just bailed -- saying "Why bother?"

Hi Ben Carufel,

Very nice BMW. I like the way you take photos. What kind of camera do you own? SLR?

With Aloha,

Ranney :)

Whatt?? I swear only one or two of them are over 200kb. I loaded them on dialup pretty damn quickly myself...

I dunno what else to say, they're pretty small all things considered :nixweiss...

Hi Ranney,

I've got quite a few cameras. I was too lazy to get out either of my digital SLR's for these photos so I snapped them with a Nikon Coolpix 5700. It's a pretty nice "prosumer" digital camera.

Unfortunately it's not mine -- I work for a photographer and I borrowed it from him.

Sometimes having professional equipment is just a pain when it's so heavy/bulky/tedious to use.

BTW are you in Kona? I don't know my Hawaiian geography very well...
