A Better Grout Sponge

The Colts already lost today, please don't add anymore pain to my day.

Oh thats right , the Chargers kicked their A** ! No offense How....

Has anyone started a thread on this yet?:bolt :woot2: (Let me bask in the glory before N.E. hands the Chargers their own a** on a silver plate.......)

does anyone use the GS with ONR? is so, how do you like it?

Its primary all I use now with ONR thanks to Chris's recommendations. I feel that it rinses much cleaner than the chenille mitts I was using.

Here we go again. I went to Lowes today and found that they have a different distributer in my area. The sponge they have is a Tile-Soultions sponge. I picked up three. :o

They look like the Excel sponges if I had to compare.

I went today too. The ProLine sponges are not in the tile area they are in with the cleaning supplies.

If you read further down in the thread you will find that DOC informed me and that I then went back and got the right sponge. Thanks anyhow though.

Sweet! Let us know what you think.

Picked up three @ lowe's today and did the wife's truck. Used wool for the top and half of the side panels then switched to the sponge for the lower half. Wow! This sponge soaks suds and sheds grit like I never saw before. One bad thing tho, it turned my rinse bucket almost into a soap bucket it holds so much suds. I thought I would use a coupla on the lower panels...but it wasn't necessary due to its ability to shed the grit. Thanks for the pointer guys!

A question...how to wash these things? I throw my wool in the washer and will kinda miss this.

as i do with my sheepskin mitts, after i'm done i use the hose and massage off all the soap/dirt out as much as possible. then put it in a bucket of clean water and dunk/agitate it one last time, then gently wring it out and lay it on the grit guard to dry. good as new...

I put some dish detergent on it, and washed in the sink. I was AMAZED at how clean it came out. This is AFTER I used it to clean brake dust (I'll be using the sponge for wheels exclusively now).

They rinse out very easily.

Thanks for the thread! I went and picked up two Pro-Line sponges from Lowe's tonight. Quite a bit softer than the QEP GS that I got from Home Depot, and a bit smaller as well, which I like. I am anxious to try them out tomorrow.

I must note that I went to Lowes twice before I found the Proline sponges. Not sure if its just my store, but they were all the way up front by the contractors desk (not back in tile). Either way, I bought them fore $2.60 per :xyxthumbs

Let us know how you like them. They also work great with ONR.

$2.60? They usually go for around $1.87 or less and are found with the cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, etc) Did you get the right one?

that's what i was thinking as well? :aww: once again, there is a pic of it in the first post of this thread...

I just bought an extra one yesterday (I figured why not, I was at Lowe's getting lumber), and it was still $1.87. Did you compare it to the one in tiling? Like Doc said, I found mine with the cleaning supplies.
