99 van inside and out

Here is my entry. A 99 van, I had to do the inside and out. It was in pretty bad shape from the swirls and scratches on the outside to the dirt, pop, and oil & grease stains on the inside. They have been good customers of fine or I might have turned it down. They have two other cars and wanted to sell this one.

I first wash it with Megs car wash soap

2. clay bared and used a wax and grease remover to remove all the tar below the side molding

3.taped off the bottom molding and wiper cowl.

4. buffed out with megs.DCP 2.0 and megs wool pad

5. then with DACP and cut foam, and finished with SFP and finish foam this is all done with a rotary

6. For fun I ran the PC with SG and finish foam and toped with NXT

7.I tackled the interior with megs AP+ and my hoover carpet exstractor. I spot treated the carptets with AP+ and cleaned all the panels with AP+.

8. I shined and protected the vinyl with Megs Hyper Dressing and exstracted the carpets.

9.I finished up with the windows in and out and dressed all outer palstic with Megs detail dressing and hyper on the tires.

10. I also wax the door jams and dressed the door seals with hyper dressing.

This took me over 9 hours and I learned that I don't charge enough, but they are good customers I enjoyed how amazed they were when they saw what the out come was.

By the way she picked it up on a saturday on her way to work and sold it that evening.

Sheww! Good thing that first pic wasn't the finished product. That thing had some terrible buffer burns/holograms. You did an excellent job. Nice transformation. That interior looks brand new.

When you said the word Pop in your post I had to look where your location was. I used to live in Warren Pa. years ago. About an hour south of Erie.

Wow, what a great transformation!! Reminds me of a Windstar I did this summer. Looks like I wont be winning this month. :-)

Chub,

WOW! Fantastic work, inside and out. I'm surprised they still wanted to sell it after they saw how nice it looked. If the new owners saw your before and after pics, you'd pick up a new client for sure.

Thanks guys for your comments.

CincyDave, I'm hoping on a call from the new owners in the spring. They asked who cleaned it and the old owner gave them one of my cards. All I can do is wait and see now.

I enjoy the big transformation and the shock on the owners faces when they see it all done, but I still want the high end cars and turn this stuff down enless its parked next to there BMW. For now I'll take what ever rolls by and keep dreaming.

Outstanding work! I can certainly believe it took you nine very long hours to clean that rolling pigsty.

Sad thing is, in a few weeks, it will probably look like you never touched it. At least for one brief shining moment though, it looked great!

Hey Vernon, Thanks for the comments. Yep it was SG with the PC and then one coat of NXT by hand. Don't know why I did it by hand but I just like doing it that way. Don't have to worry about the plastic and missing spots on the curves.

Scottwax, thanks also. Your right on they don't take care of there cars very well. She sold that one (thank god) but I still do her other the other 2 (SUV and truck.) But she loves my work and they are great customers.
