99 Accord Black... amazing gloss

So for the GFs birthday I wanted to freshen her car up. After everything was done I was really impressed with the new polish I'm using.



Process:



Wash: Menzerna Auto Shampoo

Polish: Menzerna Intensive Polish x1 w/ Polishing Pad Speed 5

Polish: Menzerna Nano Polish (PO106FF) x1 w/ Finishing Pad Speed 5

LSP: Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket (FMJ) x1



Wheels: Hi-temp Wheel Cleaner

Tires: Hi-temp Tire Cleaner (still amazed by this stuff) :)



I didn't clay because I had done it about a month or so ago. And the paint felt fine. Didn't need it.

Also... anyone know what the best way to take pics of the flake are? i've got a minolta G530 that just can't seem to pic up the metal flake in the paint.
 
Looks great! That last pic looks amazing! Nice and clean wheel wells too.



The best way to get the flake is to first off make shure its really sunny, then walk around the car and look from all angles untill you see where you can see the flake them most, then take that pic. At least thats what I do.



Why were you amazed by the tire cleaner? Just wondering to see if its worth trying.

What did you use to dress the tires?
 
Thanks for the compliments and advice. I've tried taking pics of the flake from walking around the car and finding a good angle... but it always comes out blurry.



Regarding the tires... I love this cleaner because of this:

When I use it the first time on any car it looks like that. After that I'll just get slightly greyish stuff coming out. Nothing as dramatic as that picture though.



I guess I forgot to mention I used Meguiar's Hyper Dressing diluted 3:1 I believe.

Do you get better results with the PO106FF than with Final Polish II? I see you used it with a finishing pad, not a polishing pad.
 
From my experience with the "nano" polishes and Honda paint a finishing pad is in order by rotary. With the PC, *I* use a polishing pad.

I had to do another step polish and it was between Final Polish, Micro Polish or PO106FF. I opted to go with Po106FF just to play with it. Removed the minor marring from left by IP. As for the finish, I think it finishes better than FP2/MicroPolish. From my understandting Final Polish should finish the same that FP2 does... their gloss rating is both 4. FP is just more aggressive at 3 rathe than 2.

I didn't have another polishing pad, my mistake for leaving it at home. But I didn't see any issues using it with a finishing pad. I treated it like Micro Polish and I do like the results better with Nano Polish. With FP2 I usually had to redo some portions of the vehicle or it would take longer. I haven't tried PO106FF with a rotary yet... but would be interesting to see your results with a rotary. I was originally going to just go with Nano Polish w/ polishing pad and go straight to LSP... but there were some heavier scratches on the vehicle that required something stronger.
 
I'm about to place an order and was wondering if the HT wheel cleaner is worth buying or is it just as good as any other wheel cleaner?

By PC, my choice would have been the polishing pad also.



What is your take on the differences between 85RD and 66FF?

the wheel cleaner is good. makes getting the dust off very easy. i like it alot. as for the tire cleaner... any APC diluted properly will get the same results i think. i have hi-temp's APC and have noticed it gets similar results.



spoiledman: do you mean 85RD vs 106FF? From what I know 106FF has a higher concentration of powder and should burnish more than 85RD. I haven't used 85RD though... so no true basis for comparison.

Hardly any scrubbing. That picture there w/ the brown stuff running off was no scrubbing, just spraying it on. Scrubbing definitely helps but not that hard. The gunk comes off really easy.



The dilution ratio i went with was about 6:1.
 
Is the Hi-Temp Wheel cleaner you used.. say..., better than Eagle One A2z wheel & tire cleaner in your opinion?



How about in comparison to Castrol super clean?



I used castrol super clean Undiluted on my tires but it doesnt seem to have brown grit sliding down so much like when I use E1 A2z wheel cleaner or llike your Ho-Temp wheel cleaner.

Same question here. I already got PO85RD and I will order 66FF when the swedish menzerna dealer get it in stock. How much more bite is it in 66FF compared to 85RD? 66FF got 2½ in cut and 5 gloss, 85RD got 1 in cut and 5 gloss. Is like Intensive polish? I know it got 3½ in cut but I don´t think those charts are so realiable.



Powergloss is twice as powerful as Intensive polish but it Pg got 5 i cut and IP got 3½ so with the chart PG would have cut 7.

If you want Clarity, go for 85RD. It really makes the metallic flakes pop.



For wet, deep look, 106FF is the way to go.
