'98 Lincoln Navigator Extreme Makeover 56K NO WAY!

I love details like this, from a dump to something that looks almost new. I am surprised how well the leather seats look after all these years of neglect..

Nice turn around. That thing was headed for the gutter the way it was going, you totally saved it.



Despite that "other" thread bashing the high end detailers, I know we've all had our fair share of DD and Kid Haulers. I hope some of those posting on that thread will take a good hard look at this one and remember where we all came from.

Thanks. the oxidation on the trim actaully came out rather easily with just some M66. Though I think I did hit a few areas with M105 too on the back.

i see that you used m105 with a rotary. How did that work out for you? I see that it came out great, but would you recommend it as a first step polish?

M105 is great on the rotary and DA. I was using the older (non-DA) version of M105 on this vehicle though. If the condition of the paint is poor enough to call for an aggressive compound, then yes, I will almost always start with M105.

Absolutely terrific work. I hate to sound like a cynic (imagine that) but here's hoping you don't see this Navi again. In my experience, if it's a dumpster once, it'll be one again. That interior wasn't just dirty, it was disgusting and completely neglected. I have a feeling a couple of months from now it'll look like that again. No disrespect intended...I know we're talking family here...but this is one of the reasons I no longer work on my father-in-law's cars. :)
