Anyone got anything to say about em? Guy at work is selling one with 50K miles loaded (leather/6CD changer/Power everything/Keyless entry..etc) for 8000.

I know the milage sucks but he gets 16-18 city. My 03 Acura TL-S gets 19 city..so it aint that bad:lol.

Sounds like a great deal (he's a good guy I know him so he is not trying to schrew me)..

been thinking about a second car for a few months now since the TL-S is a lease and my driving seems to go above the 12K/year line - that and I would have a car when I turned in the lease!

Oh yeah and ...dun dun daaaaah. it's black!! one more thing to detail - oh joy!

I had a '97 with the same config and it got far worse than 16-18mpg, but it was increadibly fast and was a rock.

No pics

:)- I have seen it in person though - very clean (well okay clean for a normal person - swirls and spider webs but nothing I can't take care of ;) ). interior is very clean - leather could do with some TLC but other than that it looks awesome.

HEY CD- check your PM!

huh -that's odd - well the dude is pretty straight forward with me :lol

Plus I will really only be using it for two and from work and driving to the occasional nooner :lmfao

The transmissions in those Explorers are junk, as are most Ford trannys from that time. I see them all the time at work being rebuilt. I also think the 5.0 in those has a problem with exhaust leaks. Also check the ball joints, another weak spot in Ford trucks.

I'm guessing its big and sucks alot of gas. But if the color and condition gets u, grab it! Just make sure its not too tall so I can come and use my PC too!

:-p

man that thing eats gas. I went to atlanta in a 97 awd 5.0 and we had to fuel up damn near every state New York City to Atlanta and back over $300 dollars nice car but not a everyday driver.
