Quality not Quantity
The owner couldn't tell me the last time anything was done to it. He's owned it since it was new. I'm going to get an extractor, you can still see some staining on the hump. The carpet was starting to friz from all the scrubbing.
 
Well

The truck was quite nasty all the way around. Woolite couldn't touch the years of soda spill. Had to go to Megs' apc at 6-1 with a stiff brush x3, using my carpet cleaner between scrubbings.

I went around the outside with DACP and LC cutting pad, then DACP with LC white pad. Then swirl free polish with LC red pad, topped with NXT wax with LC black pad. All done with PC.

Tires were new, just used APC at 10-1. The wheels got the hot rims treatment x2. High endurance wheel gel finished them.

This was the first interior job I had done. Always cleaned my own. Owner got a real sweet deal to. 10 hours later $ 105.00 in my pocket. Thats what happens when you quote a price without checking it out first. OH WELL gotta learn the hard way sometimes.

10hrs...sounds about right for 2x of DACP....works well but takes to long on PC. Not to mention what you had to deal with...10 yrs of neglect! Good job.

I just did my brother's Eclipse with about the same process took me 12 hrs...split between two days. I think it's time for a rotary or a back transplant :hah :rofl

Aloha Mal, great job . Don't be afraid to let the customer know it's going to take a little more $ for the condition of the car. I'm just saying this because I've made that mistake many times before I learned.. But I do give family and repeat customers discounts I shouldn't sometimes. Later I find myself regreting it but it's all good .

I still do the same scrubbing regiem and use the extractor w/ clean water. It really pulls out the dirt and dries alot faster..

Nice job Mal. Sorry it took so long, but you are right, you will always learn something from my mistakes. And from the amount of mistakes my teenage son is making, he''s going to be one helluva wise person one day! LOL
