Detailed a 93 Towncar yesterday. Woah, what a huge car!

My coworkers monther-in-law passed recently and they got this car. She used to drive with her dog, so there was some doghair on the velure. The interior looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time. I didn't get any pics of it, as I just got to cleaning since it was bad. The exterior was pretty dirty too, though my coworker was more concerned with the interior.

The car got:

Dawn wash

DACP with a Meguiars Cutting Pad

NXT with a black finishing pad

Hot Shine on the tires

NXT on the exterior windows

The interior got

All plastic cleaned with Armor All interior cleaner (good stuff)

followd by 303 Protectant

a 20:1 mix od TOL Interior cleaner on carpets, floormats and seats

Stoners on the windows

The interior took me about 2 hours alone, as this thing was HUGE! I couls fit my MR2 in the cockpit of the car alone!

The car is a silver~blue that in the direct sunlight turned Gold! :shocked I tried to get a pic of it.

The paint was pretty scratched on the trunk and one of the doors. Nothing a respray won't take car of. So I only did the DACP 1 time to clean up the paint and get the minor swirling out.

Enought talk. . .on to the pics

Good job!!:up Nice shine and refelctions on a light colored car.

I know the Town Car's a boat, relatively speaking. My parents used to own a Crown Vic that I detailed once a year, and that thing took some time. Thank God for my PC. Now they have an Explorer and htat thing is a beast to detail.

Have fun with the Concorde - another large job!!

were those swirls left over by the DACP or were they deep enough that the DACP couldn't get?

Vernon

PS. lookin good!

Turned out real nice! :up

Very good shine for an obviously neglected 11-year-old car. BTW, aren't those wheels a lot of fun to clean? [/sarcasm] :lol
