1 Clean WS6

Detailing Rottweiler
Hey all!!

First and foremost I have to thank fellow Autopian SilverLexus for this referral. THANK YOU Lee...this client and several folks in his office have become die hard weekly regulars of mine. I owe you a Heineken. :hifive:

I've been jonesing to get my hands on this car since the fall. The owner had been holding off on getting a full detail until he had some service issues taken care of. Finally they were completed and he was ready to git her done !! :D

The car is a very rare 850i fitted with a 12 cylinder and six speed manual. According to the owner there are only a handful of 850i's equipped like this in the country and about as close as one could get to equipping an 850i like a CSi without actually getting the M equipped car. He is the third owner having purchased it in 2001 and the car now shows 117K on the odo. 75% of the paint on the car is the original single stage black. The hood, both fenders and front fascia have an old repaint that is BC/CC. Overall the car was in good shape. The interior was immaculate and well kept. The paint, however, was dull and heavily marred...looking like it had not had any work done since the repaint. The owner admitted to only waxing it once or twice with some Meg's Gold Class the whole time he has owned it!! :faint:

This car is now 15 years old and yet the lines and overall design are still fresh and appealing to this day. Eat your heart out Bangle.

Enjoy,

Mike

Steve-did a silver one about 8 months ago, you will have fun with it!

Mike-awesome job on the 850! Nice pics too, great for showing off what is still my favorite BMW. :)

Nice work! I agree, the 8 series is one of the most timeless car designs ever. It still looks like something that could roll off the cargo ship today.

As usual Mike your work is top notch! :woohoo:

The 8 series as said above is so timeless and is already a classic IMO.

I saw a video a few years ago when a guy over in Germany did a autobahn run on a sunday morning. He did like 90 miles avg speed of over 140mph in a 850csi.

:thx you all for the kind words!!

Pat...I owe the use of that tire dressing to this site and Mr. Scottwax himself. It is good old original formula Armor All!!! I never would have tried the stuff but after seeing several of Scott's details and how well it looked I gave it a shot. It was like rediscovering an old friend...I had not used it since I was 17 or so. Whatever they did when they reformulated AA worked.

WOW Mike heck of a job as always. That car is one of my all time favorites; great engine and a beautiful body!! I took your advice as well mike and bought the Menzerna IP, FPII, Glaze and Souveran to do my 03 Cobra with.

Mike, you got to detail my dream car!! The V12 is a pain to maintain but what a classic, especially stick! Maybe someday I'll have one.

Beautiful work as always!
