9 Weeks To Win: Bouncer's Salute The Fruit Wax (Week 3)

my detail product was Meg clay kit. it was the clay actually that did all the work. i was really shocked to see the dirt that cam out and i end up using both side of the clay. it was soo black .
Now i clay my car almost everytime i wash it.

I have to say Menzerna FG400 for me. It is my go to for one step corrections. It didn't so much cut down on my production time, but it helped me produce two step results with a single step price.

This is a tough one as there have been a couple of great products that have changed the way I detail.

I will have to go with Cquartz UK coating. I was very skeptical about how the coating would perform but after applying it to my personal car and a few others, it is hands down a great product. It increased the ease of maintenance on my car 10 fold. And has a gloss like no other. Ever since applying it to my personal car it has got me more business just from the look alone!

Most certainly my SpeedMaster wheel brush. It is perfect for any tight areas. I used it for wheels, fender wells, engine bays, exhaust tips, etc.

I have to say Opti-coat 2.0. This product is a game changer. When I first started detailing there was (and still is) a lot of information to read on all the available wax, sealant and glaze out there and it was difficult to choose which was the best performer or right product for me. With opti-coat and its proven longevity testing by many detailers, I knew I had to try it out. The application also cannot be any easier.

Let's say I have opti-coated a lot of things, from all the car parts I have purchased to.. even my bathroom sink (just for easier cleaning). When I get my own house I will definitely go around to see which surface areas can accept an application of opti-coat ;)

It was Hydro2 for me. Had just purchased a new car, had it coated by a pro, and they recommended Hydro2 to help top coating. After doing some research, my eyes were opened up to all the great products and techniques involved in properly maintaining a vehicle. Now I'm totally hooked!

I have taken a pretty huge dive and can't say one thing in particular really but I can list off some great products that do speed things up. ONR, Nanoskin Mitt, Hydr02, PERL, UWW+, and I'm sure there is many more I am missing. But I thank sites like this for jump starting my passion for car care.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I think it was a Hot Rims Meguiars Chrome or Wheel Cleaner for me. I don't think they make it anymore, but I remember using it on my 02 Firebird Chrome Rims and the gloss it left behind was amazing. From the compliments I got from friends and family, I've wanted to keep my vehicles clean ever since. 2nd place goes to Iron X.

BFWD was the one. Before that it was all paste wax for me. I did love fresh wax, but it was too much effort to remove. Now it's easy on easy off and that has made LSP application a joy.

Well I started to detail seriously when a duck flew into the side of my brand new truck! The Porter Cable 7424 I purchased that week enabled me to correct the damage. Little did I know it would turn into such an obsession!

So I did a lot of detailing even way back with my dad when "Rain Dance" was the thing to use! 20 years later I turned my passion into a small side business. Like most enthusiasts I have a wall full of products, everything from Klasse to Zaino. You name it, I've used it. BUT the one "HOLY HELL does this make my life easy" product, and its actually a combination of 2 is the Meguiars 105/205 one-two punch. I swear to the almighty above that I finally saw the light many years ago when I tried this combination for the first time! I haven't strayed from that combo yet, and all my customers agree!

Definitely my megs DA. Really opened my eyes to how beautiful polished paint was. Really began to enjoy detailing a lot more at this point.

The one that really changed the way that I detail is the iron-dissolving, "color changing" wheel cleaner that really eat through tough brake dust. Staples in my garage is SONAX Full Effect, 1Z Colourtec, and Scholl Concepts. Now cleaning the wheels isn't the scrubbing and back-breaking work that it was just a few short years ago.

There are so many great, revolutionary products but I think these type products take the cake for me. :rockon

The product that changed the way I detail: Infinite use detail juice. I was able to replace several bottles of different products for one bottle. Since I started using it I never had to purchase: Clay lube, QD, spray wax, glass cleaner, pad primer.
The product that did it for me: Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Being able to get that level of cleansing, shine and protection with one step applied by hand was nice.
The product that made detailing fun: P21s nuba paste wax. Putting that last coat of a premium paste wax on the paint and buffing it off revealing nice deep reflections in the paint.

It all started not to long ago with a little machine called "Rotary".

I remember it like it was yesterday! When me and Rotary met, it was in a local store for cheap. I had just bought a beautiful pre-owned Accord with the infamous Taffeta White paint. Never used one before...hell never had to pleasure of holding onto one either! I was determined to finally have a vehicle worthy of shining in my life!

The day came when me and Rotary went out for the first time and we went over that beautiful fairly untouched Taffeta Paint! The feel of Rotary in my hands, using it like the tool I wanted it for! The power, the speed, and the way it buffed! I was hooked!

Not long after that I start to read forums and watch how to videos on how to detail?! I wanted....NO I needed more! Trying different tools and products next thing you know I needed a small shelf in the corner of the garage. Then, comes the huge shelves taking one side of the garage with enough products you would have to take inventory on!

I still pick up that ole gal Rotary once in a while. Take her out, show her a good time and make it feel like new again. It's the least I can do to show it some love for creating such a detailing monster! Sometimes I feel kinda bad. Like I'm cheating on Rotary with so many other tools and products. But, I have my needs....

I swear I won't abuse or treat this wax like some one night stand. I will use it with love to fight the rays of pain that is Florida sunlight!

Thank you for reading!

My neighbor saw me hand waxing my B5 a4 and came over with a bag, containing a Porter cable and a bunch of pads. Said "I never use this, I have a feeling you'll put it to good use." And from then on I was the ultimate weekend warrior!

For me it was the carrand tire dressing applicator brush! No more messy foam applicators etc. This brush changed the way you apply tire gel. :bigups
