I'll enter.....

The detailing product that made me enjoy detailing was Ultima Waterless Wash +. Once I found out about 3-4 years ago I can use that product to safely wash my car after my surgery, I was thrilled, and from that day on I've been addicted! It is the best waterless and rinse less available!

Buying my first DA, 2 years ago changed everything. My GG6 stepped up my game to an entirely new level and opened up the door to really understand what it takes to do a full correction.

I'm going to go with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant.....I remember 6 or so years ago putting it on my Black 98 Nissan Maxima...and the results blew not only me away ...but other people wanted to know how I got that deep wet look.
And the ease of putting it on and removing was a breeze !!!

What turned detailing into a hobby for me was using ONR for the first time as a rinseless wash. Since than I've always had a need for it and its uses have expanded from being just a rinseless to a very versatile product with many uses.

I still remember using clay for the first time. I had no idea paint could feel that smooth.

I so agree. When I first clayed I was horrified at what came off!

Nice choice. It is a great sealant!

Probably the first product that got me addicted to detailing was Meguiar's Classic polish. I remember my mom always purchased the detailing accessory package with her Mercedes Benz at the dealer so I had a bucket and car soap, coolest thing was the chamois drying towel with the Mercedes logo that said "Made in West Germany". My dad bought some Meguiar's kit back then so when I finally got my own car, I had to hand wash it first and was ready.

The product that made me enjoy detailing was Meguiars Clay Kit!
It is easy to use, the clay + cleaner wax sample helps me to learn the process, and it leaves paint super slick!!

I guess the first product that really did it for me was Poorboys SSR2. For years I was a 3M guy and was too hard headed to believe anything was better. After joining this forum in 2010 (when it was DC) and seeing all the members rave about Poorboys, I bit the bullet and placed a very large order, which included damn near the entire Poorboys line, a 2nd gen GG6, and a ton of CCS pads. The first product I tried was SSR2, and my mind was blown by the results. My life hasn't been the same since :)

Changed the way I detail:
My first Porter Cable random orbital. Working in a shop as a teen taught the craft, but at home I had to flex the muscles to finish a car. Now I dream of a FLEX, but the PC is tried and tested.

What made detailing fun:
Menzerna Super Intensive Polish was the chemical that really made my detailings enjoyable again! Having been a 3M Perfect it III user for a long time, the Menzerna chemicals came along and blew my mind!

Poorboy's World Spray & Wipe gave me "the bug". I got S&W as a clay lube with a small order, and at first, I scoffed at the claims about it being a waterless wash. When I finally tried it, I was amazed that it worked as claimed and then some. EVERY surface of the car was happy with the Spray & Wipe, even glass and trim. The quality and smell of the product was intoxicating, and it got me back on the internet discovering and ordering more products. I haven't stopped!

Nanoskin Autoscrub Wash Mitt/All NanoSkin Products..... Went from hours of clay time to minutes of paint decontamination. This Second step of my detailing process went from an annoying chore that took up 40% of my total time detailing to about the same amount of time it takes me to wash a vehicle.

Menzerna Polishes.....First time using polish to remove scratches and swirl marks with a PC 7424.....yes I was a newbie....still have the machine, but now use the Flex....SIP was the polish and surpassed all my expectations...and the results only made me want to learn more about how to professionally polish cars......SIP....Super Intensive Polish !!

Optimum No Rinse. Rinseless washes have made me want to hand wash my cars much more than running through and automatic car wash like I used to.

One of the biggest ones for me is going from clay to the synthetic towels, sponges, ect. Claying used to take up to 4 hours for a large vehicle, now any vehicle takes less than an hour and i'm not so physically exhausted when i'm done either. Medium Grade Towel is a life-saver :)

Good luck everyone!
