9 Weeks to Win! 3D Car Care (Week 3)

2010 Jaguar FX paint was hammered with Rids, Swirls and deep scratches...
Hard to beat this combination, even on super soft paint, after several test this combination provided the end results that I was looking for.....
Meg's 101 Foam Cut Compound with LC White CCS Pad, followed by LC Green with Menzerna PF2500 then Jewled the Paint with LC Gold Compressor Pad and Menzerna SF4500

I've only tried a couple 3D products... help me out of the dark ages! ;)

Well I don't see that employees are excluded so I'll go ahead and enter :)

Recently it's been the 3D AAT Compound and Polish. These 12 oz squeeze bottles are great. Once I'm finished with the last of the quart sized bottles, I'll be happily purchasing the AAT combo in gallon sizes.

I've got a few compounds on the shelf, but find myself reaching for Meguiar's Ultimate Compound most often.
This one was done with Meguiar's M80.

I'm definitely looking forward for the opportunity to try some 3D products.
Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

I'll have to be honest though. I'm going to be doing a few more cars with BriteMax RestoMax and Black Max after the results of my review.

Most used HD Polish and HD Speed.

This is a 14 year old Ford Escort done with HD Polish---

Megs 105 and 205. Wife's 06 Uplander after a full paint correction. 105 with my rotary and wool pad. Finished with 205 on a 3m grey waffle pad on the rotary.

It's on the conservative side of two steps but I've used PF2500 with an orange pad(lake country) and then went to SF4500 with a white pad

Touch ups one step on the front hood here with SF4500

One step PF2500 on a white lake country pad
My more aggressive two step dance would be FG400 and now SF4000. ...maybe SF4500

I am curious about your pads and techniques with Pro Polish and Pro Polish 2? ..because I also have and use those products.

Rod, I've used PP2 with an orange pad a few times. But for a vehicle that doesn't need much correction I tried this on my Edge after detail weekend.

I was at Poorboy detail weekend this year and couldn't believe how Eds Jeep turned out. He may have been led by Poorboy on the procedure.
This is what he did.....a link to his response to me asking how he did his jeep.
He used a 3401..I used my Rupes 15
"Washed, ProPolish2 with white pad, ProPolish with a black pad, black hole with red pad, and Ex with a blue Pad.
The Black hole makes a difference"

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and Polish are my go to. Would definitely like to try out some 3D HD products though. I've already got your guys' Yellow and Orange degreaser, great products so far.

Not a pro like some of you guys. I'm just getting started. I used Wolfgang Concours Series Uber Compound and total swirl remover. This site is a wealth of knowledge for the beginner and veteran. I've learned a ton. I'd like to try some other products. Good luck to everyone.
