850 T5, washed and results of Forever Black

Earlier this week I got my bottle of FB and proceeded to apply it to my trim. I must say, I am impressed. It took a few coats to get it looking good and (relatively) streak free, but it was worth the work.

Freshly washed...

I think it looks clean for a 10 year old car :)

LiquidKernel, very sharp! We have a '96 850 GLT (original owners). I love the lines of the vehicle. I love the throaty sound of the factory exhaust. I love the quality of the paint and the overall quality of the car in total! I LOVE THIS CAR! We have 150K miles on ours. How many have you got? What model Pirellis? Are you happy with them?

Thanks! :)

I have 130k on it so far, expect to run it for a lot longer. The Pirelli's are P6s (all season). They are great touring tires, very smooth and grip well. The only thing I (and others) dislike about them is that they wear out too quickly. Other than that, they are a great set of tires.

Definitely a nice vehicle. The stock exhaust does indeed make a throaty sound, combined with the unique tones of an I5 motor.

I am thinking I should clay bar and buff the paint, it gets way too much crud on it from the semi-dirty streets of SF.

We're running Yokohama YK420s and Avids. I'm ready for a change. Looking at the Pirellis and Kumho 716 Ecstas.

We're looking to drive ours for 10 years or @ 200K miles. I have no doubt that it will go that long.

Go for the clay + polish + wax (or sealant) you'll be glad you did, and that car deserves the best :up

I'm absolutely sure it'll make it to 200k and then some. Our old 760 Turbo that we had made it to 206k before it gave it away. Waiting to see how long the S60 2.4T does.

Definitely going to do clay and polish on it, finishing with wax. This car has been getting my best since my parents gave it to me-- 3000 miles oil changes, replacement of any worn parts (all new shocks, Bilstein HDs) and of course, scheduled washes :)
