I have AIO and the SG and i wondering if i should get the #80 to get rid of some light to moderate swirls on my truck, or if i shoudl go for the #83 and in case there is any hazing just use the AIO to reomve them. Or do you think that the #83 will be to abrasive for the light swirls and scratches. :idea OR get them both? Just in case i find some harder areas. :idea

Always try the least abrasive polish first - #80 in this case, which will leave a great finish. #83 is more abrasive and may need to be followed by a milder polish, like #80. If you were to get #83 I would definately recommend buying a milder polish also for this very reason.

I use to use 80 to clean up 83's mess........83 is a little too difficult for me to work with. I found 80 was able to get me where I wanted anyway. 80 leaves a nice finish with proper techniques and pad selection. It use to be my go to, for some time, but I no longer use it.

Does #83 have enough cutting action to take away the scratches left behind by some wetsanding, with 2500 or 3000 grit.

With a PC, I doubt it. I find #83 to be (surprisingly) on the mild side. Now, with a rotary, it *should* remove those with no problem.
