Biggest problem was the black stripes. Combination of swirls and RIDS (random isolated deep scratches) and hard paint.

Currently has a mild 307 (stock internals, aluminum intake, Carter carb, headers) but a 383 is being built for it and a 3.73 posi rear end along with rear disc brakes.

That's not dust, its metallic flake.

Polished:

Full process:

ONR wash
Opti-Clay yellow
Rupes Keramik Gloss using a Meguiars low profile foam cutting pad and Rupes DA
Optimum Primer Polish using a yellow Rupes foam polishing pad and Rupes

-------------------

2011 Chevy Tahoe. Recent purchase, dealer did their usual half ass detail job. Swirls along with heavy water spotting.

ONR wash
Optimum prep towel to clay
Meguiars M100 using a low profile Meguiars foam cutting pad and Rupes DA
Optimum Hyper Polish using an orange Optimum foam waffle cutting pad and Rupes
Opti-Seal
Armor All on tires/wheel wells

2012 Mercedes E350. Actually in pretty good shape.

ONR wash
Optimum prep towel to clay
Optimum Hyper Polish using an orange Optimum foam waffle cutting pad and Rupes
Opti-Seal
Armor All on tires/wheel wells

----------------

2013 Tesla Model S. I put Opti-Coat Pro on it back in March. While in for service at the Dallas Tesla Service Center, they accidentally closed a bay door on the right rear C pillar and had to refinish it. I had to reapply Opti-Coat Pro to the areas that were repainted.

ONR wash
Optimum Primer Polish using a yellow Rupes foam polishing pad and Rupes DA (right rear fender/C and roof pillar and top of trunk lid)
Opti-Coat Pro applied to the polished areas.

---------------

2012 Audi Q5. Owner has had issues with the super soft clear coat and bird bomb etchings so after having a body shop wet sand out the etchings and polish the car, he wanted Opti-Coat Pro on the paint since it cures harder than the original paint on the car.

Mostly just light buffer trails on the car

After

ONR wash-no need to clay, paint was very smooth
Rupes Keramik Gloss using a yellow Rupes foam polishing pad and Rupes-that's all it took to correct it the clear was so soft!
Optimum Primer Polish using a yellow Meguiars low profile foam polishing pad and Rupes
Opti-Coat Pro applied to the paint and wheels
Optimum Glass Coating applied to the windshield
Armor All on tires/wheel wells

Only a few afters, took several hours and the owners needed to leave right when I finished.

Oh that Nova.....sweet. Did my uncle's black Tahoe earlier this year.....whole lotta paint, but what a beautiful truck. They all look great Scott

Thanks, y'all! BTW, Ronkh, that's not my car but I am sure after the shop gets done with the engine install the owner will need me out again. If it was my car, I'd do the engine myself. Did it a few times with my Chevelle and did a 455 swap into a '77 Cutlass.

Nice work guys! I see the Black vehicles are back! Nova turned out nice! But you'll be doing touch-up after the swap. Seems like all the new Tahoe's and Suburbans I've seen are all black!
