**$700 order placed, did I choose well?**

So after many many many hours researching here and on camaro5 forums and following some people such as Autogeek, and detailersdomain, and junkman / Adams, I was really far fetched to decide what brand(s) to start with, I wanted to go all Adams as it's the forum boner on camaro5, but they are so pricey especially with towels and assessories, detailerdomain offered options like sonax wheel cleaner and some merzerna and p21s and such, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to get everything from him and dual shipping costs suck when buying bulk orders, in the end after some underground research I found Chemical Guys and they seemed like a fantastic alternative to Adams and had great bulk prices.

So I present to you my order who review and constructive criticism about where I should have went a different route. This will be used to clean my 2012 black chevy camaro 2ss rs.

Order Comments: Card owners name is different than name on shipping address. I just purchased a new car and have never had the opportunity to professionally detail at the high end level. With a black car, a foam gun / two bucket treatment and initial machine clean are essential. Leading me to this high dollar purchase.... I have heard and learned about you guys on several forums from camaro5 to autopia to autogeek.... Im not sure if you run any forum discount or quantity discount or if you waive shipping costs after you spend xxx amount, or even if you can include some freebies to try out (towels applicators products w/e, but im a work aholic college student, so everything helps), i hope this will be the start of a relationship with you guys for years to come. -mike-

Lmk what you think guys

O and I'm new here obvioussly so hello from Tampa, fl

I think you did good. Let me know how you like the spray detailer and the Diablo Gel Wheel & Rim Cleaner. You will like there MF towels. The only thing I would add is my personal preference UNO polish and POXY sealant. I also like these towels MONSTER MICROFIBER JUMBO ABSORBER

Welcome to Autopia!!!

Welcome. Nice stash! The one other thing you might want to think about is a glaze. Chemical Guys EX Creme Glaze would work well under the Jetseal that's on your list. It will help hide any imperfections that you didn't get with your polishing step when used prior to your LSP and add some extra pop to the paint. You'll find that some people use glaze and some don't but as a newbie detailer with a black car I think it would be a worthwhile product for you.

How you wash your car is perhaps the most important "detail" to pay attention to. In the long run, that will make or break the look of your car's finish - especially since it's black.

Looks of good info here...

2006 Acura TL in Nighthawk Black Pearl (part 1) – Detailed Image

Post up some pics of the car!! I'll be in the market for the convertible version of the same car next Spring.

whgat do i have to do? to get it, is there a code...

i have to fax my invoice tomm morning to them as it is over a 500$ order i will be sure to mention it then

Welcome Mike!

I see a lot of gadgets on your order. I am sure all of them will be useful. Unless I am missing something I don't see any polishes (perhaps they are part of the PC set).

I second the CG EZ creme reccomendation and I would also add their CG new look trim gel.

All the best in your effort.

I wonder about posts like this, wouldn't it have been better to ask first and then order later? If you are looking for a pat on the back, umm, I think you did OK, but there isn't much love for Chemical Guys stuff on this forum. I don't think you got enough pads, the PC XP is meh, etc. Did you do ok, yes, but you could have spent your money much more effectively.

He bought a lot of genic stuff (grit guard, nozzle, spray bottles, etc).... Plus I really like their MF towels. As for Jet seal, I think he could have done better there with UNO and Poxy....Or maybe one of the Collinites.

I understand there are some better products out there but I've always liked trying a companies entire line to get a feel for them. U did buy a lot of upfront setup stuff, obvioussly I'll be double bucket washing my black Betty, so 2 gaurds, and using a foammaster ii. I was stuck between merzerna powerlock and jetseal109. I also really wanted to try Sonax full effects wheel cleaner, and some other items from optimum and swissvax. I'm new to detailing so in due time. I have a lot of leftover stuff from sonus that I bought awhile back, I have a two sided black yellow applicator with red in middle, some foam applicators, glass and chrome polish, uv protectant for interior after it has been cleaned, and some othe stuff. I probably didn't buy enough pc pads and I understand this, but I was limited on funds and figured I can get by with washing it midway through a cleaning a couple times and continuing until then. I appreciate the comments. As far as polish and wax, they are included with the pc package.

I receive pro-polish acrylic + wet mirror finish high gloss magnifier, im not sure if the wet mirror finish is a wax, but I think I'll pc with pro polish on a no aggressive pad as the car is new so cutting is fine, follow it with the wet mirror finish gloss magnifier or ez glaze not sure which comes first. Then finish with jetseal109 and a top coat of some mothers gold I have and apply it by hand
