66 or 34: Buying Gallons For The First Time

Looking at Meguiar's site, I see there is the Final Inspection 34 that I know some people are fond of, and others are not. I also see a product 66, Quick Detailer. Anyone have any insight on these?

I would order these from the local O'Reilly's if they didn't already have them in stock. It's a new store and the staff is very eager to please. Anything they can order, they don't mind doing it. They also have the 3M catalog, and since they have EO products, I'm not sure to what extent they can order pro grade stuff from them.

I'm tired of dinking around, and summer is here (almost), so time to have the QD on hand.

If anyone has a favorite in gallon size that's in a similar price range, and shipping isn't too bad, I might consider that. Thanks in advance.

These days, the only thing I use #34 for is clean-ups between polishing steps, but plenty of people like it as a QD.

The #66 is a pro-grade cleaner-wax. Mildly abrasive, as I recall.

I use FI #34 in the same Accumulator does. If they can order anything, I would go with a gallon of Meg's Final Detail, if you looking for a gloss enhancing QD, I have good results with it :up

I was just at Meguiars' website trying to find #51, which I was told about in a private message, and also Final Detail, and I can't seem to find them.

From the private message, 34 is paintshop safe, and 51 is the siliconey one (though they phrased it much better).

Yeah that is correct, Meg's catalog assigns the number 51 to FD but its not labeled as such on the container. If you want to order it be sure to indicate its in the Meg's Detailer line
