got a british racing Green beaut I'll be doing in a week or two i have a some Klasse and collinite. but this one rarely leaves the garage so like something thats really going to pop. Any suggestions fellas. ill be sure and post some pics.

Well, what's your plan of attack? I personally like the durability of Collinite, but don't think it has a great shine compared to some more high end waxes like Zymol.

well ill probably have to a two step polish, havnt inspected it close yet. the fella is not so carefull when washing, i got 5 cars and 3 bikes to do for the chap. im working on his black excursion thats been washed with a steel wool mit. its quit a job. that being said. this car might be out in front of his business on nice days. i guess i dont need anyones socks to turn yellow but it be nice to have my name on the car if they did. i could always just use good ol colinite. but its not quit as fun. btw what kind of zymol are you using my experience with the stuff (which is fairly limited) it was nice but seemed to rinse of pretty quick.

I have the Titanium, Concourse, Glasur and Vintage. They just get better the more you spend, but all are good.

i didnt realize they had that many in there line up, were do you get them

Remember that a vintage Jag isn't a new Lexus, the paint is supposed to look a certain way.

I kinda like how the Collinite 476S looks on older Jags, gives what's *IMO* the correct "period look", especially if they've been reshot with b/c paint. Similarly, I don't go for the "ultimate level of gloss" with those as it's simply not period-correct for concours purposes (and I've been over this in depth with the JCO's chief concours judge).

Watch that KAIO doesn't give a funny, "sealant" look. I use Autoglym SRP instead on older Jags (both ss and b/c).

I did my pal's '60 MKII with M105/M205/SRP/Collinite 476S and it took first in class at last year's Stan Hywett show and subsequently did well in the season's JCNA concourses. I was worried that the M205 might've left things just a *bit* too glossy, but nobody else saw it that way. The aforementioned judge (decades of experience) thought it looked just right and quizzed me extensively about what I'd done.

hey thanks so much! i happen to have a little 476s, ill check into some autoglym i almost got some the other day where do you purchase yours from?

That's a good point.

I think I got it from Autoglym Super Resin Polish, 11 oz.

Keep it off trim, it's not like KAIO; it can do some pretty awful staining, probably because of its fillers. Normally I hate products that do that and avoid them like the plague, but SRP is worth the hassle IMO.

SRP + 476S lasts a good long time too.
